On the pkp truck, you can remove the seat back and make a new one out of plywood, about 1 1/2" thick foam, and upholster. It'll gain you about 3-4" + of leg room! That's the way mine is. Makes a huge difference!! Brian Pierce

Tina, I like video and it covers a subject that is rarely covered. If you don't enjoy the drive / ride you wont like the car no matter what it is. But there is a issue @ about 9:40. The AA Truck shares the same cab as the car chassis truck versions. That said the seats are adjustable but it is limited and may or may not suit taller people. They are more like a coupe in terms of adjust ability than the cars with back seats. Keep up the good videos.

This is great. I love shows like this with people who actually know what they're talking about. I work at as an automotive machinist. I work on old model a/t blocks and heads. It's amazing how long they last, really well built. Some of those blocks can be bored out past .080 no problem. Love to see that old junk still working 😋

I see this was 2 years ago, but you didn't mention a Roadster. I'm 5'9", 145# and have a heck of a time to get in it. It's easier to enter through the passenger side, and there is not a lot of room between my lap and the steering wheel. Just saying.

Shinns, Why don't you mention the convertibles very often? I would think these are desirable in California. While shopping for mine, I found the roadster to be cramped (I'm 6'2" with size 13 feet) compared with the cabriolet.

This video will help me position the seat in my C cab model A that I am building from parts, scrap metal and wood. I am using a tudor rear seat for the seat and can use your measurements to get a general ideal where to mount it. It will be off road so no doors, and plenty of room. It has a 26 cowl and 16 Chevy windshield, just a fun project to run around the farm in.

Good topic Model T, and may save someone a lot of grief. At 6'6" and 235# a Roadster is a TIGHT fit especially a Roadster PU, they are horrible to get in and out of and even to shift in. Do you think the cars were designed and built small, because people and money were just “short” back then? Even when you look at older houses before 1950, closets were small, what did they think? Maybe, they just lived “spartan” lives? I never really checked, but is the Model A smaller than the Model T? Is it still more smaller than a ‘32 Ford, and ‘33?
@Modeltshinn2 жыл бұрын
If I’m correct, people were smaller back then and I think money was a challenge. Model A’s are bigger that T’s. A’s same size for 32, not sure on 33’s.

@Modeltshinn3 жыл бұрын
Curious…did you watch my video all the way through? I gave dimensions of the inside of the Model A truck… I would say the easiest way to figure out if you’d fit is measuring the length of your legs from hips to feet since the length from back of the seat to pedals is I believe 32 inches and measure the bottom of your rear to the top of your head since from the seat where your rear end sits to ceiling is about 36-37 inches…I hope this helps. Like I said in the video, I’m 5’5” and I felt cramped, but that’s me.
