As an Anby main, getting Nekomata was really helpful, so I'm glad I got lucky and got her. I'd argue Nekomata is probably the most f2p friendly out of the S ranks. Her being cunning hares and also physical enables a lot of team combinations that include A rank characters, which most of us will be using. Btw I genuinely didn't know S ranks weapons existed. I think I'd just uninstall the game if I got one instead of a character lol

Haha. The wengines might be good to get eventually, but at the early stage it’s definitely more beneficial to get characters to help build your account.

I got two of them on Standard after getting Grace as the guaranteed 50th pull (got lucky since i got her signature and the Soldier 11 one which is good for a lot of attackers, all of them within the 100 free pulls) and let me tell ya, they're *the* bomb, i'd almost recommend you to keep your fading wishes to buy one once you reach 600 of 'em, because an S Standard Agent with their W-Engine is just *so* good. I can only Imagine what a Lycaon or a Rina with their perfect weapon can do. Sure, at early stages having a couple S Agente is better, but once you have two full teams optimizing them can net good rewards.

Dumb question, but what exactly does it mean to “main” a character if your team has to have 3 people?

You would thus be aiming for characters/w-engines that enhance that work well with that character and would not consider removing that character from the team even if a more optimal choice exists.

I also want to add for Koleda, there was a bugfix about a week ago on her passive not working properly. It said on a reddit post that apparently, Koleda's passive did not give +30% daze for her but rather -30%. I was using her before the fix and it felt really odd when the fix was made, she was stunning enemies so fast even without Ben on the team. Don't sleep on her! Very fun in quick swap teams!

I too got that w-engine and I have solider 11, but I have no koleda so my fire team can't fully exist. in fact I don't even have another stunner agent. getting an S engine feels awful early game (at least for me) because when you don't have a solid foundation you have to build Frankenstein teams that will do significantly worse than ur main team (Mine being Corrin(equipped with brimstone), Rina and anby)

I think, revisiting this topic will be relevant in the future, when f2p / monthly sub players have amassed 250+ pulls and we see the current meta and possible compositions at that point. Most likely supports / def will be more relevant than attack agents at that point. My guess.

Piper - Lucy - Nekomata is sooooo fun ! Nekomata was my S tier guaranteed pick from my starting pulls. Lucy was in the pity store, so very easy to obtain. You should of considered tier one cinemas in your video. At this point I'm hesitating between Nekomata's cinema 1 and Rina for my 300. Nekomata has become my main dps and her 1st cinema is one of her better ones.

Thank you for the feedback! I guess at this point I figured most people would be trying to build up their accounts with their 300, so decided not to focus on cinema's. Nekomata is fun to play and I actually think I might get her for my 300 so I can run her in the Piper and Lucy team!

as a f2p player, i genuinely didn't know that people used their A ranks (other than the starting 3), and that team composition was a good thing. I use anby, nicole and ellen, all of which are helpful to me. Anby carried me until i got ellen, now ellen carries me, so you saying that lycaon might actually be a good idea. THANK YOU!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Nope i disagree... i got 2 yes i wrote two weapon (the same, it's Grace's W-engine) twice on that banner. While i agree getting free weapon seems nice, in the beginning of the game, it's much more valuable to get S rank character, than a useless weapon (i have no character that can use those 2 weapons). In late game, when you have a lot of character, getting free S rank weapon is valuable, but in the beginning ? it just hinder me a lot. I'm stuck with Rina as my sole S rank unit, i could have gotten 2 more S rank character with a bit of luck, instead i have 2 useless W-engine that bring NOTHING (because again i have NO character that can use those engine) and honestly i would had exchanged one of the W-engine for any S character. Weapon are really good on later game, when you have at least way more character so at least one S can use that kind of weapon. In the start ? it's literally dead weight.

I got Koleda from my guaranteed S-rank on the standard banner so I'm planning on getting Soldier 11 whenever the time comes. I love the animations and aesthetic of Soldier 11, and being able to make a fire team sounds fun. Thank you for the informative video! As for now I'm just using the most f2p team possible - Anby, Billy and Collin. Edit: I've spent a 10 pull on a standard banner today and got an S rank! Only for it to turn out to be brimstone as well... I've been cursed from that last segment of the video.

Nice vid. I'm sure to revisit it, in like 3 years when I actually get to the 300 pulls on the standard banner. I know it's a wishfull thinking but I'd love if the premium banner pulls counted towards the 300 pulls. I'm not going to spent currencies to get more standard pulls just for the 300 guaranteed. Though before I get to the 300, unless I'm exceptionally unlucky, I should get Nekomata long before being able to pick the free S character.

Honestly I think since I need two dps and I recently got Grace I have Lycoan and Rina and Koleda. I lack dps so I feel like Nekomata might be my next best in slot if I don’t lose the 50/50 to Qinqyi. I have no s rank dps besides Grace and I love using Amillion boo so my best strat is probably getting Nekomata and I love fast moving characters too and I do plan to get Jane dough as well so I was thinking of pairing her up with her. My first team for endgame is Grace or Zhu yuan with Lycoan and Rina or Nicole and I need a second team. I like Koleda and I did level up my ben as well for fire in my team but I mostly like to use Nicole so I probably will use Nekomata a lot two for the bonus ability for Amillion.

Wow you read my mind, I literally woke up this morning wondering if I get to pick any of S choices who would I choose. And the answer is, whoever pairs up well with Nicole (and I don't know who pairs well with Nicole), because I do know in end-game content a lot of enemies have elemental resistant. So Nicole will come in handy because her passive is to drop enemy DEF by x% after using her Ex/Assist/Ult. So if you're building 2x teams as f2p, one team can be whatever element u like, and the other has to be Nicole as her passive ignores enemy resistance. So if anyone knows which of the above has best synergy with Nicole, drop a comment! cheers! Great ending with that W-engine pull hahaha

In my opinion best to pair with Nicole would be Nekomata, as she can slot into cunning hares. I’m open to being wrong though! Haha, yeah I couldn’t believe it when I did the pull, thought I’d talk about where the character could fit for me and who I’d be looking for when I hit 300… when the wengine came up I was like: screw this.

Ahh Brimstone, I actually know that pain^^. I was pulling a 10 Pull on Standard at about 60 Pity. Got nekomata at 50 grantee, and was very lucky to get a Steel Cusion right after that. So this 10 Pull was not only a S pull but a double S! I was so happy, who's gonna be my new SRank Char?? but it was a 2nd Nekomata, and a Brimstone (I don't need right now. Bat at leas i can use it for Thu Yuan, soon) But I'm still at 8 Chars in my account. I haven't managed to get any copy of either Piper or Alice yet, and from 4 SRank(which is super lucky) Standard draw I only got Nekomata (I really like her and shes my main DPS so far, and now very strong at M1 and S1, but still i'd really love to have some more options.)

I have neko and just luckily got grace (and Ellen). So I hear rina goes well with grace but Lycaon would make a really good team with Ellen and soukaku… and soldier 11’s play style sounds the most fun. So it’s tough, one of those three. Prolly end up going with lycaon, there aren’t that many stunners and he is one of the best

As "technically" a furry, just gonna two cents. I think the punching down on furries feels really tired to me. Any would be viewers of yours who happens to be a furry might enjoy the video less because of it, atleast they might if they've heard something with the punchline "haha furries are losers" as many times as I have. I'm not trying to police what jokes you can make it's a perfectly fine joke to make if furries enjoying your video is not a concern to you then by all means carry on. I quite liked the video up until that point and I came here from the video on whether to pull on Zhu Yuan, Qingyi or Jane Doe and I really enjoyed that video. I really like that you're making content specifically focused at F2Ps and not just casting as wide of a net by making super general guides. I wish you the best, may you find success on the internet.

Lycaon seems like the obvious choice with my Ellen and C6 Soukaku, but would it be more worthwhile to strengthen the second team (for content such as Shiyu Defense) with Rina since I have Grace and C3 Anton?

Grace and Anton are both dps so you might as well choose either one then work on the rest. Lycaon will definitely boost your mono ice team.

I see a lot of comments in here saying not to bother with the standard banner, but, well. I initially went for the featured banner at launch and lost my Ellen 50/50 to Grace. I decided then that I’d focus down the 300 pulls and go for Nekomata. I got Rina twice along the way as well as another Grace, and then finally got my Nekomata. I’m now maining a team with Lucy, Piper, and Neko. No regrets, I love them. IMO just go for who you want, who looks good to you, who appeals to you. It’s a game, and it’s meant to be fun :)

If you dont like it, dont play it. Every person is a world. I like this game a lot, for me this is the best one of hoyo, its super chill and relaxing. You can have your own opinion of course, theres nothing wrong with that. The problem is when you think your opinion is the last word when is not, all this is subjective, is up to the own tastes of every person. People can enjoy diferent things that you dont, this can apply to almost everything. Some people enjoy sweet drinks, others like it more bitter.

Nice another Grace enjoyer, i really like her too, it's my second S agent, if only she was a DPS with the same kit but electro infused normal attack... she will be perfect. It's just a question of time before you can get Rina ;), crossed finger for you to avoid dubs and W-engine. I also can't wait to get Rina, she's is the only permanent S rank agent i don't have and i'm a lucky F2P (can't wait to try her with Grace, even if i will need to wait 150 more pull if i'm not lucky ^^').
