External Loans are acquired in dollars and paid back in dollars Salim Sahab is distorting facts. $1 borrowed in 2013 was equivalent to PKR63, fast forward today the same loan is now PKR183. The debt has increased due to exchange rate not because more borrowed. PTI had to borrow to repay PMNL and PPP's loans.

Three biggest problems ( decreased exports , IPP projects & grow import economy ) created by pmln . IPP projects with capacity charges , imported fuel , in $ payment for 30 years not only create 2500 billion circular debt but imported fuel ( coal , lng & rng ) increased demand for $ and put pressure on rupee . Imports base economy also decrease inflow of $ and on the other pmln exports came down to 20 billion $ from 25 billion$ and in same time period Bangladesh exports gone up from 25 to 40 billion$ . From 2013 to 2018 Bangladedh make 50 billion$ more from exports than pakistan . If pmln just increased exports from 25 billion $ to 30 billion i m sure pakistan would,t need of IMF , no need of rupee depreciation and inflation would be much better . Dr farrukh is a dumb economist he did not mention 20 billion$ current account deficit & artificial maintaining value of rupee with borrowed $ from IMF both these problems pti inherit from previous govt .

forget foreign loans, donot we make account for foreign exchange remittences from abroad constantly being gauged by the goverment in wasteful corrupt activitiies. i would like to drawa kind attention of prime minister honourabl imran khan to kindly establish tourist cities and allot free housing and industrial purpose- by prohibiting local investment, strict pakistanies living abroad who bring inestments for allotments for those lands , with laws to protect their investments to build retirement funds, those plot strictly for pakistani holding citizenship abroad, probiting resale of free allotted plots for 10 (ten year) tor tranfer those to non foreigns except their own or local kins, i challenge pm that he see colonies on pakistan border in his term. build individual colonies for americs and separate for british and germany so forth - you will see them repatriate bck home if invted.

the real question is, if all previous (to Imran Khan) governments have borrowed money and not invested it in Pakistan and blatantly robbed the people of Pakistan for the last 30-40 years, how much money is left in the bank for Imran Khan to service those debts, build infrastructure, create jobs etc? it plain obvious if you have just taken money out of the country and not invested it in infrastructure building, Job creation. the PTI government would need to start from scratch, meaning no other choice but to borrow money to fix all the mistakes the previous governments have made in the last 30-40 years. these guys are talking so much shit, as if borrowing money is a bad thing. money is not going to come out of thin air. it takes money to make money.
