You learn something new everyday When your using cricut and you print and cut on easi subli that means you have to cut out a blank sublimation sheet to put on top of the vinyl That would be hit and miss unless you do them at the same time lining up would be easier not sure of the outcome

Once you've printed on vinyl, how do you set it up in cutter? How do you align the cutting with what's printed?

You will need to print your design using your cutter's software. Open the file in the program and turn on Print Registration Marks. Then you can send the job to the Sawgrass Print Manager for setup. Once printed and cured, you can load the vinyl into your cutter. Make sure the design is traced, and then send the job to the cutter. The cutter will scan and read the registration marks so it will know where to cut.

You do not want to change the inks in your printer. You will cross-contaminate the lines and void your warranty. Make sure you are selecting the correct substrate which determines how much ink is printed on the paper. You may also need to adjust your color profile within your design or printer software. I bought the Sawgrass 500 with subli ink and used easy subli sheets which come out quite vibrant on cotton I did not know there was a difference I want to do diff things wood canvas etc... the Siser sawgrass printer is cheaper on the 1000 Than the Subli set

I have easysubli ink , Texprint paper, pink polyester shirt and my image was not vibrant. What should the press be set on? Am I using the right paper?

We recommend sublimating polyester at 400F for 45 seconds. Sublimation produces the most vibrant image on a white garment. Since sublimation ink is transparent, the colors will be affected when printing on a colored tee. Please send us a photo so we can assist you further. [e-mail]

Hi Nikki, It is not recommended to change ink in your sublimation printer. If the printer lines inside the machine are not cleaned out properly, you will risk cross-contamination from old to new ink which could affect your printed results.

Yes, you can use EasySubli vinyl. Just select HTV as your substrate. You may get some color-shifting, but it is usually minimal and barely noticeable.

I JUST set up my SG500 last night and then watched the Sawgrass Academy this morning ... I learned in the very first video that I purchased the wrong ink. UGH! I bought EasySubli in error instead of SubliJet. Booooo. So very sad right now.

Hi Denise - Sublijet and EasySubli are very similar and can print on the same type of substrates. If wanting to print on hard surface products or 100% white polyester - use texprint paper. If wanting to print on garments - use the easysubli vinyl.

@@deniseweber9990 Using a Virtuoso printer, you can use texprint DT paper. It is offered in a variety of sizes - and any of the sizes can print on any substrate. The other option is Texprint DT LT which is designed for an epson sublimation printer.

Anyone confused on what she's calling the papers like I was, after a quick Google definition search. Text print paper- Sublimation Paper Easy subli vinyl- Sublimating vinyl (white htv that you can print on and use directly on color fabrics)

Hi Erica, I'm sorry for the confusion. Texprint paper is sublimation paper that can be used on 100% polyester fabrics or on hard goods with polymer coatings. Sublimation inks will only adhere to polyester fibers/penetrate polymer coatings, and you cannot dye dark colors light, so we recommend white polyester or white sublimation blanks. For fabrics that are 100% cotton, cotton/poly blends, or dark in color, EasySubli vinyl will work. This is a sublimatable heat transfer vinyl. It will accept sublimation inks, but you will have to cut, weed, and mask just like vinyl. This vinyl is what will transfer onto your garment. Let us know if you still have questions.
