Very true sir, my dream is to eventually see organic sacks from common raw materials around us like banana trunks. This will solve the land pollution.

I would far prefer to grow my yams in soil. The problem is some farms has accepted the use of bad chemicals that actually damage the soil, and this has major re repercussion. Even in sack farming the yam is still entertaining the ground. Every thing we do within farming is damaging the earth and it's actually due to ignorance. Interms of labour, this is minimal and you are help someone to feed them self, and keeping a the knowledge of our traditional farming alive, using the earth will lead us in expanding our knowledge. ❤

I love your views. A lot of people prefer sacks due to space management. You get more with very little space. Yes, like you rightly said, yams-in-sacks sometimes interact with the soil. I think they are complementary. Yam in sacks is a good option rather than a replacement in my opinion.

Investing in strong tarpoline sacks as initial one off investment is good. The thickness of the tarpoline will allow you to use the sacks several years over.

By my calculations with a 1 feet spacing of 2feet diameter yam sack, I should have more than 1,000. With regular small sack, I should have close to 2000 in a 100ft by 100ft

Your calculations are also in order. Depends on the sack sizes. The smaller the more, also there is the need for spaces to navigate the farm. For poultry feed sack, you have about 1200 sacks per 930 sq meters ( 100 by 100 feet).

If you choose to. Leaves are always greenish. This is the best time to do so if you want a huge harvest
