I found your channel like a few years ago and I always like your reviews the most. When everybody else seems to get it wrong you always nail it. Felt the same about Oppenheimer. First act was absurdly fast pace lol.

i agree with what you said about barbie 100% but I do not understand your issues with opp. I felt the charachters were amazingly well done and it did feel very personal with oppenhimers charachter. It could be because Im a science lover and I absolutley love the themes and the painting of american governments evil doing. particularly in those days. oppie gets a 9/10 for me

I wanted to love oppenheimer but I think I'll guiltily prefer barbie. Also why are they pushing imax so hard? There's so little spectacle it's literally just people taking in rooms. Isn't spectacle what imax is meant for?

No movie needs to be 3 hrs long. And I mean NO movie. This one included. Cut 40 mins off Oppenheimer and you would’ve had an absolute masterpiece. Sort of like the dark knight I didn’t care much at all for the 4th act. It was fine after 3.

I disagree. Some of the best films ever are around or longer than 3 hours. However, the new trend of everything pushing that length is unnecessary for sure.

@@RendanLovell they’re becoming this long bc the big name directors now don’t want to cut down their movies and they’re powerful enough to where studios aren’t going to force them. And it’s not good. Any of these recent ones Babylon, Batman, this, avengers, all were 3 hrs, and none of them should’ve been.

I completely disagree, almost all of my favorite movies are that long. almost anytime a movie is 1.5 hours long it is cut to shit, sloppy, too fast to actually have a comprehensive plot. If its that short its absolutely some stupid action adventure bs that is impossible to watch
