Just so you know, with fishing planet unique fish (big ones) are pretty much time gated, as you have to fishing in a specific spot at a specific time of day, so it's actually really easy to farm big fish

I'm honestly not sure why I'm taking the time to comment- but having watched near 15 minutes of this video- I thought I'd comment for anyone watching this in the future. Fishing Planet is a FAR superior game (and even more-so if you play on PC). The Devs behind Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour are hardcore money grabbers, creating Fishing Sim World... then Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour, then 'The Catch' which was like FSW:PT, but with less fish, and now a specific Bass Fishing game... which makes pretty much zero sense when all of these fish were originally in FSW:PT. FSW:PT was built for console- which is why 'JWells' finds its UI easier to use, but on PC, I found FSW:PT to be a pain- and finally plugged in a controller to relieve my headache. Fishing Planet on the other hand is free to play- DO NOT BUY 'The Fisherman'. FP has more places to fish, and more fish species in general. Good luck catching a 150lb Tarpon in FSW. Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour has beautiful fish, and beautiful equipment, but they've dumbed the fishing down to a near 'arcade-like' play. It is a great game for those people looking for a way to unwind, or when thinking too much hurts your head. However, Fishing Planet requires knowledge of rod setup, weather, location, time, bait and more. Entire DLC's can be won via tournaments in Fishing Planet- and, all of the DLC's are completely optional, as additional maps and fish species are free additions to the game. A lot of the DLC's in Fishing Planet are near exact versions of equipment you can unlock for free in the game, and don't require you to buy them with actual money. I could go on- but to summarize, Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour has 572 Mostly Positive reviews on Steam. Fishing Planet (the #1 Fishing Game in the world) has 27,299 Very Positive reviews. Enough said.

Yah and in fishing planet he brought up the point of how you have to be a certain level to fish well this is the case If you take your ultralight to the Amazon river it doesn't work

i'm lvl 55 in fishing planet and its pretty bad you can only get big fish in certain spots which is annoying fishing the same spot every time

@@Byrrrdbig fish don’t stay in one part of the lake. Fish constantly rotate from deep to shallow, structure to flats, they’re never stationary. It’s very unrealistic.

Honestly fishing sim world is so much like real life fishing planet is close but fishing sim world is better in that aspect. But I’m a higher level in fishing planet and better at it so I’m not biased.

In my oppion fishing sim is meant to take a look at the pro side of things where as fishing planet is more lookin at the casual side of fishing and after playing both i gravitate more towards world

This is my biggest issue with fp. I can't just hop on and enjoy some fishing for a hour. Bc between licenses and travel cost i HAVE to play it until i can fill up my fish keeper at least once or twice or i literally lose money in the game just for playing. I wish they would come out with dlc to rid of this. Id pay the $20.

I have and play both I love both games but my opinion fishing planet is AMAZING! it is almost a simulator I play fishing planet non stop. If u don't like fishing planet then you probably aren't really a fisherman. And 7k is not a lot of money at all in the game btw

From what I'm witnessing right now as I'm playing Fishing Planet, and coming from Fishing Sim, I've gotta say....Fishing Planet kinda sucks. Its sluggish and clunky, along with less feedback and action options for dynamic casting. To reel in a fish? You just kinda....snatch it on up out of the water as opposed to actually bringing it to you. Let me know if I'm just wrong but it's just terrible to me right now. Absolutely. Terrible. It has a lot to give in terms of variety but as far as literally everything else goes? Terrible. Ontop of tat, on the PS4 there isn't even a start menu to pause the game or anything. If these two games combined resources it'd be amazing because Fishing Planet looks...well...gorgeous. Aside from appearance its just nasty.

Right. I think Fishing Planet has Fishing Sim World beat on fish graphics, the fish just look more realistic on FP than they do on FSW, especially the Bass. I think FSW is a much better game than FP, much less of a grind. I'm ready for the bass pro shops edition to release soon.

fishing planet has 178+ species of fish, each with its unique behavior and AI. + Event Fish fishing sim has 29 most of your observations are based on information you don't know most of the time you have been wrong i get this is your opinion but its pretty clear fishing planet is a much better game ( not to mention fishing planet is FREE)

My opinion, Fishing Sim is better and more fun. The scenery is better too. Fishing Planet management are gold diggers and when they did an update in 2014 I believe, I had almost 3000 bait coins/gold and after the update, they left me with 320, I was not happy being stolen from and ripped-off. Now they have all these new lakes that I need bait coins to buy a license for and I can’t so I’m stuck with all the old lakes. Now that I have Fishing Sim, I don’t care about Fishing Planet anymore and I have more fun.

FISHING PLANET SUCKS BIG TIME!!!!!!!! I will never play that game again.. It cost so damn much to fish different places.. I downloaded fishing Sim and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.. I play it everyday it so much easier to set up your rod and lures and cost a shitload less to purchase extra items.. FISHING SIM 30 POINTS
