I disagree that Vermont has more guns and heralds relatively the same projectile. I will make the argument, though Vermont would appear to have more need of a learning curve than the Ohio.

@@TheDogGeneral yes she has more guns but less accurate. Less accuracy, a significant lower rate of fire, and lower turret rotation on top of that kind of nullified the couple extra barrels plus some. Plus Ohios secondary guns are flat out superior. With Legends faster play style than pc, I don’t think this is her environment. From the legendary matches I see I think the player base agrees, I see way more Ohio out there than Vermont.

@toddkollar4166 For now, there's more Ohio than Vermont's, but give it time. The population distribution might flatten out as time goes on, and they could always buff them to make them more comparable And yes, i agree, the secondary battery is superior on the Ohio as it ought to be there, is 25 years of development between those two designs that were taken into account for the game. But the Vermont's original purpose was ships of the line Battle At Close Range her armor is reflective of that armored having been the consideration their not necessarily Precision of the secondary battery from experience Vermont would have the advantage over the Ohio whose armor system is more intended for a long-range projectiles. Every Ohio I've ever seen getting into a close-range fight, she might be able to hurl some lead, but she can't survive long firefights of attrition in gameplay at distances I would still contend the Ohio is the better Battleship at close range engagements the Vermont has the advantage.

@@PxNxWxGxW I have Citadel struck multiple Columbo's with the Vermont on multiple occasions it's hardly the king of the legendary Battleship tier however a player's skill individually may have something to do with that but as it stands I prefer the Vermont over the Colombo

If they do bring Ohio back i could see it being an extremely low drop rate for a crate like JB or Lenin like you said, but i could also see them bringing it back for a steel ship. Great showcase of the Ohio and its infinite power 👍

Ohio is like Lenin…. She was super hyped up when she was released, people found out how to use her and found out that she’s insanely strong in the right hands (just like Lenin) which I assume caused WG to say “no we’re not bringing it back” just like how they never brought back Lenin.. ships like that are meant for people who play the game often, to enjoy, not to sit and collect dust in a port

I got a kraken in Vermont today I love Vermont for some reason I’m really good in Kansas , Minnesota,Vermont ,and Georgia and I don’t have Ohio that’s the whole reason I started playing this game was because of Ohio and I wasn’t a high enough rank to compete the mission to get it during that update and ever since I’ve been trying to get and can’t they won’t let me and honestly it’s pushing me away from the game because I can’t get Ohio and it makes me so mad because that’s the ship I wanted the most over all of them but they keep doing me dirty and won’t let me get so I’m about done with it if I don’t get it in this new years update out of one of the crates I’m done with this game so basically 2 weeks from now when this update is over if I don’t get Ohio I’m uninstalling this game from everything all my consoles and my phone I really love the game but I just wanted that one ship and I’d have all the ships I want and I’d be happy go lucky and keep playing and unlocking all the ships every other country but I’m done and I’m gonna go find something else to play because I’ve put so much money in this game only to be let down trying to get Ohio out of a spectral vault and get nothing but a bunch of ships I don’t want and a bunch of camos and stuff I don’t need

I spent the money to get the Ohio when it was available. I haven't even bothered to pick up the bureau project for the Vermont. Pretty sure that's a good indication of which I think is the better choice :) Even if I didn't have the Ohio, I think the Vermont would be a hard sell. I've got the Montana. Sure, it doesn't have the 18" guns, but 12 of those 16" super-heavy AP shells can leave a mark. I'll eventually get the Vermont, but the brick is pretty low on my priority list.

My own personal opinion the Vermont is the superior Dreadnaught with more guns of the same caliber she requires a bit of a more learning curve but she is larger and inherently more durable and close-up fights now the Ohio has the advantage in long range and precision certainly better armor defense for those long-range shots however she has fewer 18-inch guns. But that's the difference, and plus, the Vermont in the game is a product of the first world war Ohio is a second World War era battleship

Long time f2p player, Ohio is a ship I really regret not being able to get. It is absolutely cracked in a good players hands. Extremely tanky, unbelievable firing angles, and secondaries for brawling
