Which is better, The New Balance 991v2 or 993?

Wore grey 993 for the last 3 years, they are tanks. I got the 991v2 recently but the toe is too narrow. I even got another pair sized up half and they are still just a tad narrow. I think the 991v2 looks better in terms of shape and design. But at the end of the day, it's the 993 for me.

The 993 really is a tank. It’s so hard to find the right size for the 991v2. You can never go wrong with the 993!

Two of my top 3 right here. Been wearing these two models a ton along with the 990v4. Grey colorway in each model is the best for me personally. Can’t beat a grey New Balance.

993 = wider, more room in toebox, better comfort, rounder toebox. 991V2= reminds of an Air Max 1: pointy, flat, narrow toebox, heel sits higher than toes. Crazy good option for those who don't like that junky forefoot look, most NBs have. I definitely prefer the 993,990V3, 990V4, 2002R over the 991V2, when it comes to overall fit and comfort.

Damn I actually needed this video. Ive been passively debating the last few weeks about what should be my first grey NB. Funny enough Ive owned the 992, 990v2, 990v3, 990v6 but none of them were the basic grey. And seeing as how I havent owned the 993, that shoe and the new 991v2 have been at the top of my list for which to get next. So far I would have to say the most comfortable is my 990v6 but there are days where I would rather wear the 992 for comfort. Its just more supportive/stable while still having really good cushion. The 990v2 comfort is O.K, with the 990v3 being a little better. I actually went to try on the 993 at a NB store recently WHILE i was wearing my 990v6 and I gotta say I was super underwhelmed with the cushion the midsole had. I had my 990v6 on one foot and the 993 on the other and the 993 just felt so firm. It felt just like my 990v2 which I would say is my least comfortable NB right now, which isn't really a knock, I can still wear them all day. Nevertheless I just think the 993 looks so good and the FIT of it was honestly perfect, not too loose and not too tight. Better fit than any of my other NB's. I havent tried on the 991v2 but I imagine the "Fit" of it wont be as good given what I hear about it being longer and narrower than the 993. I will honestly probably get the 991v2 as my grey because of what I've heard about the comfort but also get the 993 in black.

I'd say if you want grey then go total monotone, 993 the classic. I like the 991v2 shape too, but for a grey then why not go for the total grey

I would expect the v6 to feel a lot better on foot comfort wise compared to a brand new 993. The more you wear the 993 the more comfortable it gets but I don’t think it will ever be as comfortable as a 990v6. That pillow comfort is like no other 990. You for sure should get a grey pair and a 991v2 would be the perfect pair!

It is because I started seeing your videos on KZbin in March this year that I now like new balance very much. In the past three months, I have bought 10 pairs of NB sneakers, from 880, 2002R, 990V3, V4, V5, V6, 991V2, 992, 993, 997. 993 is more sturdy in the upper and stable in the midsole. 991v2 is more pliable in the upper and soft in the midsole. Some people would hear that and automatically think that means that the 993 is less comfortable, but to me they’re equally as comfortable in different ways.

Hahaha, you seem to have seen my shoe cabinet. These two pairs of shoes are the most I wear every week now, but my instep is wider, and I prefer the wrapping feeling of 993. But the shape of 991V2 is really my favorite. 哈哈哈，你像是看到了我的鞋柜一样，我现在每周穿的最多的就是这两双鞋，不过我的脚背比较宽，我更喜欢993的包裹感。但是991V2的外形的确是我的最爱。

I prefer the 993 over the 991v2 b/c of the fit. The 993 fits my foot almost perfectly while the 991v2 are a bit longer and narrower in the toe. I can see NB using the 991v2 cushioning in an updated version of the 993 in the future.

They are both the two most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The 990v6 is more of a squishy cloud comfort where the 991v2 is a gel like comfort. If I had to pick I would say I like the 991v2 more for the comfort

both 10 out of 10 , getting my 993's this week and super excited to get the more beefy shoe on my foot. My 990 v6 is getting worn in now and they are unreal in terms of comfort but like you said my 991v2 have that gel feeling, and they just more sleek and sexy. NB for life BABY!!!

Let me know how you like those 993s compared to the 991v2! The v6 had unreal comfort but the 991v2 is out of this world! NB over everything!!
