As for the Seamiart swatch card: the only color that doesnt match seems to be the permanent yellow. All the other colors match. So its not really that big of a deal to just rename that one color...

Hi! I just want to ask about the shelf life.. Cause watercolor doesn't expires, I also checked on google. I have sakura koi that was passed to me and it's like 15yrs old I guess I'm using it now andI I've seen on youtube really old watercolors like 45 yrs and more. So what do they mean? Great art work btw👍

For me, Tokyo Finds Bento is much more expensive than Seamiart Watercolor. But, regardless of the cost, they both have a unique pigmentation of colors, and have its own purposes. Seamiart Watercolor can be used by beginners like me and wants to explore the watercolor medium, while Tokyo Finds Bento is more likely for artist to pro. 😊

Wrong. The Tokyo Finds palette is not artist grade at all. They are cheap chinese watercolors, just like SeamiArt. The brand Tokyo Finds may be japanese, but their paints are made in China, probably by the same supplier that SeamiArt get their paints from.

I don't think it's a big deal if they mislabelled the swatch card. It's just one color, and it happens all the time in budget art supplies. You will get wrong spellings and wrong grammars, especially since the manufacturer is from China. And I think you're going to end up looking at the swatch card for color anyways, instead of the name, anyway.

Thanks for the feedback :) Well yeah, it's not too much of a big deal. The main reason I elaborate that more on my review is for the viewers to visualize how cheap products are presented, in order for them to realise as well why a certain product costs cheaper than the original one. And for me, it's still misleading :( Also, it's not just for one color.

This happens in the Paul Rubens sets all the time, lol. And those are expnesive artist grade watercolors.

I saw from an art group in FB before that had info about the Seamiart 90 watercolor. According to the post, they had a similar supplier, same quality but the color arrangements are the only difference. Although, I'm not sure if its true or not :)

Hi Erine!! Thanks :) I've been reading posts on FB as well claiming that they both have the same supplier, but Tokyo Finds confirmed to me that they don't as all of their products came from Japan, while Seamiart came from China.

@@MaeSomething Tokyo Finds are lying. Their paints are produced in China, by the same supplier. If their paints were japanese, they would say so on the packaging. There is no information on their packaging that says where the product was made. Neither "Made in Japan" nor any other information. So it's pretty clear it's not "Made in Japan", but "Made in China but we don't want customers to know that so we don't give them any information at all".
