Momma is inspired from the trip to South Africa he took to reconnect with his roots when writing this album, and in the last line of each verse, he raps about 'home', in this case Africa, or the 'motherland'; whether the end of the first verse, "But what's better than that? The fact it brought me back home", in the end of the second verse. "Not to ever forget until I realized I didn't know shit , The day I came home", and so on. It really touches on the realization he had that he never really got to know his history until his rap career allowed him to travel back. He also touches on this subject in the Untitled Unmastered album, but the what gets me every time is his final message in the last line of the last verse on this song, "Then be an advocate go tell your homies especially , To come back home"
