I just want to say THANK YOU for doing these videos. My partner and I are looking at getting a Class B and your videos are super helpful (and yes, we've watched tons of your towables videos too...because we only recently decided to go the class b route). One idea for future class b videos would be to include the dimensions of the bathrooms. Most manufacturers don't publish that info and every inch of space matters in a class b bathroom. Thanks again!

I recently bought the pleasure-way recon and the thing I like the most is definitely the garage space. I store my sur Ron electric dirt bike, weber traveler portable gas grill, e-z Up canopy, Yeti cooler, inflatable kayak, camping/beach chairs, telescoping ladder, foldable banquet table, Mac Sports heavy dutie all terrain wagon. All this is stored in the garage while still having acess to a “queen” size bed, fridge, sink, full bathroom and seating. Having all these items in the garage allows me to enjoy day-use activities at the lake where the best seats are usually located. Also, the sur ron electric dirt bike is modified to be street legal so it’s my second mode of transportation to check out the entire campsite, surrounding areas or simply allows me to do a quick run to the grocery store.

The small size is what appeals to people who get a camper van. Obviously, they are aware that travel trailers exist. Plus a camper van makes a great day trip platform. I also drive it to my local trails 8 miles away. I never used my travel trailer as day trip platform.

I own a Tranquility 19L. It does come with a bug screen on the side door. A fairly weak one, but it is there. Maybe they discontinued that feature in the 19P. I really like my van, but it has had some issues to work through. The Mercedes platform is top notch. Very comfortable and great quality. The only time I've gotten 22mpg is going down hill. Realistically , probably anywhere from 12 to 17. The bathroom is very small, but it works. The 24 gallon fresh water is a little short, but it works. The battery system is adequate , but using the AC will deplete it in maybe three hours. I carry a dual fuel generator to supplement the system. All in all, I would recommend the Tranquility. When you do have an issue, Thor is great about authorizing the repair. Cheers, RS

Good that you included the Jayco Terraine, closest rival to the Revel. The Terraine has a similar floor plan to the Revel but with much larger battery capacity 48V - 210 amp hour smart lithium battery providing 10.2KW of power 3500-watt inverter. You reviewed it a few months back.

Out of all production B-class, I prefer the Winnebago Ekko (bathroom, rear cargo area, .interior cargo, outside kitchen or roof tent options, etc, etc, etc) But circumscribing to this video, I was ready to chose the Rebel for various reasons but I think the Jayco Terrain is my favorite. What I like about the Revel: 1. It is a proven off-roader including harsh weather like Alaska. 2. Given is the original adventure van, there are many after market accessories to take it to another level. For example the rear area lounge from Canyon Adventures. 3. The windows at the bed area. A couple of the other don't have it. 4. The all electric feature. What I don't like about the Revel: The fresh water (21 gals) is unthinkable and absurd. Only one of the vans had 40gals of fresh water according the initial spec tables. I would love and extended version of all these vans that accommodates a big fridge/freezer (12V 10.3 CuFt). I assume the power seats on the other models will make your driving more comfortable and pleasurable as well. While the bathroom height would be a pain, the kitchen on the Terrain has a better design than the rest. Did you mention all three vans on this video runs on the 2500 chassis? The Terrain is made on the 3500 chassis if your video is correct. The décor on the Terrain also looks way better. More organic, wood looking, kinda home feel. Lets not forget the main features: on-board air compressor and massive solar system (if you really want to go off-roading and off-grid. I could tolerate the bathroom height, probably taking outdoors showers as much as I can but, will bring a separate chest like fridge. Also like 4-5 jerry cans of water. Don't like the Terrain don't have windows next to the bed. Why to cargo tying thingies are East-West instead of North-South?

Terrain is 2500. It's basically a clone of a Revel with massively upgraded lithium battery and inverter. Solar is about the same at 200W. It also has a 48 volt AC directly connected to the battery which is a huge upgrade. Also upgraded suspension and onboard air compressor. Earlier models had N-S cargo tie downs. My understanding is they switched to E-W to make it easier to strap down bikes.

I like the Recon. Not everyone wants to tow a trailer - especially if you are going on overlanding trails. Now that being said - there's upgrades one can do to a Benz that will get it out there. Granted it is not a Storyteller ($190,000) but they can still get you to the desert, to the mountains, National Forests, and on the logging roads looking for Bigfoot. I would add a composting toilet so I could save on water.

Having watched this class B comparison several times now, I can honestly say I like the head to head comparison you’ve done better than any of the RV’s you compared today. If wife and I were in the market for a Class B, (we're not) this is the kind of information we’d be seeking. That said, I’d rather not comment on the pros and cons of any of these three. But if you come across and get a chance to review a Class B+ on a Ford chassis, like a Forest River Forester TS2381, would you please add it to your comparison. Respectfully, W.S.

I'm considering getting into the cargo van business, primarily looking at rear cargo space. I love the revel and rekon garage space, so I wish I could combine it with the tranquility living space. The rekon kitchen seems more for a fisherman. Last month I was parked at a hotel next to a revel. I was so excited to see one close-up. Then the owner came out and let me tour the inside. I was surprised at how tight it was. I don't know how two people could ever live in it. However, his heat didn't work, which is why he was at the hotel. I was flabbergasted! I don't know if he didn't know how to work the system correctly or if it didn't work, but it's not fun to spend more money on a hotel when you have a mobile bed. A revel is too damn expensive for anything to go wrong with it when you need it, especially in Chicago! The experience has left a bad taste in my mouth about Revels. EDIT: Now that I've seen the Jayco, it could beat the revel for me.

Great stuff as always Josh. My choices: 1) If cost is not an issue the Jayco Terrain all the way. It's power storage at 10.3KW (10,300 watt hours just blows the other full electric options out of the water. Plenty of power for an Insta Pot, toaster oven, small microwave etc. and the space to store it. Or go the other way with propane camp appliances using 1lb bottles or lug around a larger 1, and use that shizzy in a screen room for cooking while boondocking. would probably also use a portable DC fridge/freezer for frozen goods in addition to the small standard one. This floor plan opens up a LOT of options for making it your own versatile rig given the power/storage on board. 2) If cost is an issue the Thor Tranquility/Sanctuary. Kind of the Goldilocks here. Bigger DC fridge and propane to offset the electrical usage for cooking along with much better battery storage and inverter power than the Revel. Pretty much the same chassis and ground clearance outside of the propane bottle. Drawbacks are limited storage and Thor's horrible quality reputation. That being said if we ever get back to the 30% off MSRP out the door days it would be really enticing. The convenience of the convection microwave and propane cooking without having to play inspector gadget on a rainy day can't be overlooked. 3) The Winnebago Revel on a huge discount. Edit - "Jayco" just b*tch slapped Winnebago in their own back yard feature wise at pretty much the same MSRP. 4) The Pleasure way Rekon. Way too basic for that kind of cash. Bonus pick on the 'cheap' that isn't a 4x4. The Thor Scope 18M. Old school with a generator, propane cooking/heating a microwave and small inverter. Basically a Solis Pocket with a lot more features and a rear bath. Probably all I need except I do like to remote camp.

I go back and forth, but I figure we’d be taking our bikes, a screen room, and maybe a few other accompaniments to camping. To that end, the Rekon seems to do it best. Otherwise we’d have to tow a small trailer. Which defeats the purpose of a ClassB in my view.

In my normal midwest area, the class b isn't appealing. Currently, I'm on a road trip thru Moab, Bryce, Zion, & Grand Canyon. A 4wd class b is a lot more appealing after this trip! Those high clearance and 4wd roads lead to some amazing camp sites.

I went with a used 2022 Sanctuary 19L 4x4 on the Mercedes chassis. I paid $95k and incredibly it only had 500 miles on it. It was never driven by the older couple that bought it new for $130k 18 months prior. So, for the money, a used Thor is worth it, even though the build quality on it is a shit show. But I've just about got all my cabinets back securely on the walls (lol). And still only 3k miles on it. But I've got a lot of wiggle room for what I saved vs. new. Let the mods begin.

For starters- I have owned several FORD vehicles over the years and I really like their products. The transit layout, the roof, gas, the interior ceiling height although I’m only 5ft. But it’s vertical real estate for storage., drive ability and all terrain. The Thor is fairly new on my radar but it’s still offering the camper amenities I need. I absolutely love the “Stealthy Exterior” of the Rekon but as you stated it’s more of a utility vehicle. I’m a traveling minister and will be living in the camper full time so I need the features of the kitchen and home atmosphere. Lol do I get a free van for this review 😂😎🤣

Don't listen to him, Chris, Uncle Josh taught me all of the deviancy. I was unaware of things like toilet TV compliance and blaring freedom rock from high-mounted speakers until I was indoctrinated. I won't outright say it's because of Uncle Josh that the gubmint is after me and caused me to go offgrid to hide (so obviously, I'd need the max solar option of the Rekon), but I won't say it's NOT because of him and he called these campers so... I think that chrome W is itching to go head to head with a drunken octopus fight club hanger. Overall, I think I do prefer the Rekon more than the other two (edit: three) presented here, but in reality I'll be traveling with the other half who has mobility issues and her service dog so we're probably getting a fifth wheel. If I was on my own, I'd go with the Rekon hands down. Thanks Uncle Josh, for the corruption and the RV tours!
