They honestly massacred the katana, although i dont blame rolve for nerfing it, i remember seeing people getting massive killstreaks with this weapon left and right, so it was probably best it got nerfed. Still would be nice to see them maybe revamp the katana in a later update tho

I'm a fairly newbish player and I managed to get 5 kills in a streak thanks to raging bull + boots with this weapon Just need to play a sort of roamer playstyle while occasionally going back for medic, and make sure not to target more than two players at once lol

Katana would have been A tier if they didn't nerf it (It was a good idea they did nerf it) Black Death (Formerly called Soulsucker/Called "Eyelander" in Pre-Haul) would have been a S tier for me if it was pre 2019 TC2, where it would shred people like it was nothing. Overall, I gotta say that this tier is like 9.7/10, it could be better but, I respect the effort that was put in this video and the time it took -Yours truly (A Former memeber)

idk if they have this in tc2, but in tf2 the battle axe had one thing all the other swordsndidnt have. "random crits" the more damage done with the axe, the better the chance of crits. so it would be op af in tf2.

Just use flag axe with basher shield, it removes the bullet damage debuff and gives u 5% bullet resistance. Pair it with squire boots and ur fast AF and can catch up to anyone that isn't a flanker

I agree that the battle axe base damage(78) is actually pretty bad but it's crits are devastating so you can pair this with the raging bull and one shot troopers increasing your chance of survival after killing a trooper without being blasted with 112 damage in the face. I like to use this weapon in vsbosses because of the same reason.

Side note a crit hit+ normal hit can kill 300 health brutes so that's something I guess

I am demokight tc2 and the elegant blade is for me the best because you can fly whit it (if you know the right place and practice) and flank the red team and my favorite map for that is harvest have literally 8 ramps , you can fly

something that isn't mentioned about the battle axe is that it can one shot light classes if you're using a shield. combined with the 50 damage from an unboosted shield bash, the 78 damage adds up to do 128 damage. this alone makes it one of the better melee picks for anni, it is nowhere near the worst of his choices. I love the video though, the edits and comparisons are great but the battle axe was the only one I really heavily disagreed with.

oh yeah forgot to mention this in the original comment but since the initial hit does 128 damage with a shield bash you can also 2 shot troopers, pretty useful but a little situational

The battle axe is the worst for actual demo knight but it’s really good for hybrid knights who mainly use there grenade launcher because it has no downsides when it’s unequipped

I’ve learned to love the breakpoints in damage with the Battle Axe. I pair it with the Ragin’ Bull. I can get devastating crit damage while still retaining the ability to trimp. The slower movement speed can be played around by good map positioning and knowledge. Spartan Savior + Tide Turner still best hybridknight loadout.

I have nothing better to do at 2:30 A.M.
