Just being flashier does not mean better. Quality of interior plastics, fit and finish, overall build quality, safety, paint quality is way better in Polo. Only issue in Polo would be space for tall passengers at the rear.

Probably the first one to do VW POLO TSI vs i10 nios turbo comparison and I was so waiting for this. Should have got the red sporty looking polo instead, and wireless car charging isn't a deal breaker however yes it may be the feature which could be used more than cruse control, talking about the alloy wheels- Polo's one look more good and alloy wheels help keep your brake cool. Last but not the least, experience of going 0-100 in each one them has a huge difference in terms of confidence and comfortablilty. The only downside of Polo is it's space behind. VW POLO ❤️🔥

I think you are misunderstood. The back rest is at the ideal position but the fixed headrests have been designed in a way to give better neck support. They are front-set to give better whiplash protection.

1. Give me reasons to believe nios's fornt seat position/angle was not altered while showing the knee room at the back. 2. Why was Polo's shot taken at such an angle where we couldn't see where the front seat is? 3. While you were drag racing, if that represents your actual driving position, it arises more doubt on your presentation of the space at rear of nios. P.s. - I know polo is relatively compact at the back but what you showed to us made us question your credibility man! You can prove me wrong.

Hey Rajan, Valid point - but let us clarify this. When we shot the NIOS, the co-driver seat not only goes forward more, the back-rest also reclines forward a lot more. Hence, we had enough space for our DSLR to capture the view from the co-driver door. In the Polo, the co-driver seat went ahead (slide) but the backrest did not recline ahead as much - which is why the tight frame. Infact, if you are from NCR, we can do this in front of you and show you the results. Bunny and team take the time and effort (its still HOT in NCR) to conduct shoots like this and there we always stand by our team when it comes to genuine reviews :)

Apart from the outright acceleration and drag race.. Hyundai cannot match the dynamics of a VW also..please specify that..handling of a VW will be far better than the Hyundai's vague steering that comes..its a hot hatch comparison so these things should also be compared apart from rear space..

Indeed, this is a bland review. People who'll buy the turbo version of i10 are certainly not buying it for the rear seating space and some useless gimmicks like wireless charger. Even in outright acceleration, Polo is way ahead of the Hyundai and is overall a better package as compared to the i10 Nios Turbo. The only con being rear-seating space, high maintenance as compared to the Hyundai.

If only Polo BS6 had atleast half of the modern comfort features alongside the manual TSI variant, it would have left the competition in the dust. Waiting period would be in months. It is a pity that VW India has made Polo synonymous with both a driver's car and an outdated car. At the minimum, LED projector headlights, reverse camera and push button start should have been made available in the top end Highline Plus variant.

@@kempegowda2254 they are not bringing it to India because of lower sales. Just check the stats , a handful of people opt for polo. Since SUVs are a thing in India , Vw is focusing on that. Thats why we have the new Troc. Vw also have to build a new platform for the polo which is sub 4 meter. Not sure when Vw will decide to get the new polo , but i hope they do. No other hatchback back drives as good as the polo except for the new figo tdci which comes closer.

I feel that is the perfect reason for them to bring the facelift here, so that the new modern facelift will attract more buyers. Many are not opting for Polo because it is outdated, especially since 2017-18. Most people who have Polo in their test drive list would have seen reviews of global Polo and will immediately decide to consider it only when the facelift launches in India because it is better than the current version in literally every way! And VW is not even adding modern features to the current gen either. They are killing their own Polo brand, is what is happening

They are following a wrong strategy by focusing only on SUVs and ignoring premium hatchbacks, which is also a very big segment in India. If we get a sub 4m global Polo with all the latest features and sufficient rear space, it will leave the competition in the dust and become the market leader within no time!
