Thank you Mystry! The Eradicator is thisclose but I don't like the modern all black face. I'm sure the 90s version will be a gold label figure as the rest looks pretty great.

I doubt McFarlane will get it right, but a McFarlane Cyborg Superman will be amazing. I mean, just think of $20 to own it. He's doing so many variations of Superman figures, so I think he'll definitely do a Cyborg version someday. Heck, he just revealed a Hush Superman recently. Clearly, Mafex is the winner for now.

@chadking375 doesn't look like he's doing them anytime soon. His newest return of superman figure is too bulky. I used his head on the Hush body and painted over the pale skin and bought a wired cape for him. Now he's spot on to my return of superman comic

In my opinion Mayfex is making the best DC figures. Personally I'm waiting for them to do Superman Blue.

They are. I wish they could get more figures out faster. Superman (Electric) Blue? I love that Mattel made the red and blue versions. They're fun additions to the collection.

@@LylesFigureFiles I have a small DC collection of different 6inch figures from different line Multiverse Nightwing Icons Firestorm DCUC Power girl My favorite DC characters, but no one from the same line. If they give me Superman Blue that'll be fire. If not I might pick up Mayfex Hush Nightwing and replace my Multiverse with Kyle Rayner

@@LylesFigureFiles Well I’m hoping that the competition makes both shape up, Mafex’s are solid but lacking in extras for their price point. Hank could’ve used a “screaming” headsculpt and Steel could’ve used an unmasked head or battle-damaged alternate parts.

I don't mind alittle bit of changing up as long as the general idea is there. Out of those I'm torn between the DC universe classics and the mafex one. I'd like to see how McFarlane toys does him. Their take on Zod was hands down my favorite pick up from them earlier this year.

A McFarlane take on this would be pretty interesting. I’d imagine he’d throw in a lot of mechanical gears and effects but I wonder what base Superman he’d use.

Most DC direct figures hold up today they were like the old school spawn pre posed and value looks over posing options. Dc direct shine the most when displayed MOC

I never could find the cyborg superman from the return of superman line, and when I did it was well over $300 but I do have all the others except mafex but thinking of buying that. Also have the 12 inch toys r us exclusive which is awesome as well

I have the DC Direct Cyborg Superman figure and it is still the ultimate and most accurate version to date. Its a grail no question. Its shameful that no one has been able to match it or beat it after all these years given technology and such... Long live the king.

That whole Reign of the Supermen was a highlight of DC Direct in general. The only real competition to me was the excellent JSA figures.

just got that dc direct 2 days ago at a bargain price. its the definitive cyborg superman figure. it lacks a bit of articulation but makes up everything for the appearance. I saw that new eradicator figure from mcfarlane... its really bad.

that mafex is well articulated, and got lots of gimmicks and extras, but still.. dc direct cyborg is spot on. a figure straight out of the comics!

I’m rebuilding some of my old dc classics collection that was stolen from me (long story), mafex is a bit out of my price line, do wish there was a six inch dc modern line, shame mcfarline went for a different scale.

Mafex figures are cheaper if you order them off an import site than places like big bad toy store

My only problem with the mafex is he looks too anime in the face, kinda like portrait drawings Capcom does for Marvel characters in MvC2, DC Direct looks like a drawing taken from a 1992 comic, obiusly is the one that has less articulation but still my favorite.

That's a good point about the head. Seems like it might be a tad small too. I'm still waiting for mine to come in so I can see it in person, but the DC Direct is perfect minus the articulation setup.

The dc direct is by far the best version and whenever the mafex drops it will dethrone the dc direct only with articulation!

Oh, that's the Sinestro Corps version of Cyborg Superman and I left him out since there's not as many and it's a totally different look for him. It is a cool figure though! Thanks for checking out the video!

Around what age is your son? Definitely not Mafex. The DC Direct isn't as much fun to pose. I'd say Mattel or DC Essentials depending on the cost.
