I know I’m a year late, but I have some things to add: -Dooku as Will makes even more sense than stated, because he staved off the pull of the dark side while being drowned in it. -Darth Nihilus from Legends would wield the ring of Death, as he is the very personification of death, and being reduced from a physical form to a force-being who continues to exist by draining others of their connection to the force can be considered a kind of death. -Revan would be Hope. Most things he did was because he hoped to make a better world, in his view, even while he became corrupted by the dark side for a time.

General Grievous would be an interesting case. There’s no doubt in my mind that after his transformation into the Deadly Cyborg Jedi Killer the Galaxy came to know him as, he would fit in with the Red Lanterns. As for what Corp he’d fit with before his transformation, it’s up for debate, but I’d say Green, as his willpower at the time of the Huk War was immense.

Fear rings, from what I can tell watching his videos, are worn by those who are very scary individuals, not those who have a great deal of fear inside them. Darth Vader is definitely an inspiration of fear across the galaxy, seeing as he’s a mass murderer guilty of multiple counts of genocide. Anakin was afraid of those he loved dying, but that’s doesn’t qualify him for the fear lantern corp. He was feared by the Separatists, or at least a good few of their commanders, but he certainly wasn’t the inspiration of fear he was when he became Vader.

Personally I think Count Dooku would be more along the lines of Compassion than Will. It might seem odd but hear me out. See the whole spiral that led him into going down the dark side with Palpatine was the death of Qui-Gon, his padawan whom he held much care for similar to how Obi-Wan ended up having with Anakin. He'd seen the corruption in the Republic and the fact that the Jedi were blatantly ignoring the signs of both that and the Sith frustrated him, so he did what he felt was necessary to change it, he turned his back on them and quickly ended up catching Palpatine's attention. Now we can't say exactly how Dooku intended to do things his way when it came to Palpatine's strict orders/observations and Dooku was guilty of several crimes but unlike Palpatine he didn't want to wipe out the Jedi or the Republic completely, he wanted to change them to prevent more loss, he knew full well Palpatine was indirectly the cause of Qui-Gon's death and wanted to bring him down too but he couldn't act without a plan or help, knowing just how strong Palpatine was. Its why he constantly wanted Obi-Wan on his side alongside the obvious traits of Qui-Gon shining through Obi-Wan. If given the chance Dooku probably would have been the ultimate double agent, all because it was him doing what he thought was necessary for the betterment of both the Jedi and the Republic. He only embraced the dark side as a means to an end, out of most Sith he didn't completely indulge in it. I'm not saying he was right in how he did it, but its pretty big feat he did for the sake of his feelings towards everything. After writing that, I guess it does also really suit him for Will like you said, requiring a lot of it to partake and persist xD. So yeah Will or Compassion I reckon for Dooku.

Even though shes dead, his love for padme is the only thing keeping vader dark. He still hopes to bring her back with its power. I would also say that Vader could fit into the lantern cores of Love and Shame. Here is why: The reason he started to find interest in the dark side was because of his love for his wife and his mother. He promised his mother he won't let anyone close to him to die and the reason he became The Emperor's apprentice was in order to save his wife. Even as Darth Vader, it is very clear that he loves his son, Luke Skywalker. It is one of the main reasons he turned back to the Light. He loved his son. As for shame, he clearly blames himself for the death of his wife. His hatred and anger not only come from hatred for the Jedi, but he also hates himself, which is basically shame. Ofc, if it was Vader's choice, he would choose the fear lantern core, but I also think he is a good candidate for the Love and Shame cores as well.

I would actually say that Kylo and Vader could also qualify for the Ultraviolet Lanterns. Especially for Kylo, as yes, he does have a lot of rage, but that Rage is sourced from his Shame at his master, and the Jedi, and, as he stated in TLJ, the past in general, so much so that he wants to burn it all. Actually, most Jedi-turned Sith/Dark Jedi have Shame in them, Vader was shameful of his weakness and inability to save Padme, and his own actions that got him in the state he is in post-Mustafar, along with the old-Jedi. Also, I do think that Dooku is an interesting case, as Dooku was a major inspiration in the order before becoming a Sith, he even trained Qui-Gon. He just became disillusioned at the corruption of the Senate and Republic and stayed in it as it would be better to be in it versus abandoning the order, but Qui-Gon's Death and the Order and Republic's inaction on Naboo led to him going over the edge. And then Sidious tempted him with a thing he was shameful to admit, he wanted power due to his curiosity of the Dark-Side's power. So, in 3 major Sith-Lords/Dark Side Users, Shame is a major forming factor of them, either shame in oneself or in another group/person. Also, why not do a general "Which Lantern Corps should Star Wars Force-Users be in?" To cover the main Jedi and Dark Side Users that aren't Sith/Pretty much Sith Lords?

Well here's an update thanks to Rise of Skywalker ( I will include several other Star Wars villains in general) Snoke: still fear Kylo: because of his redemption arc it's hard to place him but it's possible that he could go into the Green Lantern Corp. Maul: still rage Palpatine: still Averace Dooku: still willpower Vader: still fear General Hux: averace General Grievous: either fear or rage Tarkin: definitely fear Director Krennic: either averace or rage Nute Gunray: averace

While it's true Snoke and Kylo Ren aren't Sith Lords, Darth Maul was a Sith Lord. In Legends, it was only for a very short amount of time, which was after Darth Plagueis died and before Darth Maul fell down the reactor shaft. Meanwhile, in Canon, he was always a Sith Lord.

Honestly, if the ultra violet lantern is shame then darth vader could suit that one too because one of the main reasons he doesn't change his suit is to keep the constant pain it puts on him as it not only strengthens his connection to the dark side but is also a constant reminder for everything he's done and every mistake he's made

I still feel that Palpatine belongs in the lantern corps of death, because as much knowledge and power he may have gained, it always and undeniably came at the expense of others lives. He didn’t care of or possibly enjoyed the suffering of others all the way from when he murdered his parents to when he died from his resurrection by Luke. Not to say that agreed isn’t applicable, it’s just that Death seemed first and foremost by him apart from any other Sith Lord

I feel that your choices were well made and well thought out. I disagree with your placement of Palpatine/Sidious and Snoke though. Snoke does of course qualify for the Sinestro Corps as all true Sith do (except Kylo Ren), but here's the thing, I think he is much more qualified for the orange lantern core of avarice. Let me explain. his greed is what defines him. He wants, he wants more, more storm troopers, more ships, more from his subordinates, more conquest. He always demands more from his underlings. He wants. And what he can't have, he destroys. On the other hand is Palpatine. He does not want anything other than control. Avarice is all about getting and having, you get it, so that you have it, and you keep it because it's yours. Darth Sidious could care less about getting more things, and even less about losing them, because for him, the power itself was enough. He really does embody the Black Lantern's philosophy of death.

okay. i will say almost all of this is true except vaders. vader does low key enjoy his reputation but he doesnt need it, and the only reason he intimidates people is because he actually had to he told STOP killing people. and i know the movies imply that the emperor is the most feared person, but honestly no it WAS darth vader. think about it, name a time soldiers or rebels ever stopped and said "OH SHIT THE EMPERORS HERE ITS FUCKING OVER" cause normally soldiers either just run or know they basically are commiting suicide. now the reason i say fear is wrong is simply because vader DOES NOT NEED fear. he NEEDS his rage, and just because it seems more focused doesnt mean much. literally darth vader would up and die if he didnt have his rage. i mean hell you wanna get deep into it, vaders had his respirator heavily damaged or even completely turned off(even intentionally once) and he still had no issue destroying people because he had his rage. but then the first time both rage AND the respiratory is broken he dies within minutes? not to mention darth vader is weaker than anakin, but he can use so much more of it BECAUSE HES POOLING OVER with rage. rage just IS darth vader, rage AND depression.

Also wanted to include this, and this is what I pull from the comics. There are basically 2 Corps that are parasitic in nature in that you don't actually have to show that emotion to be in that corps. Those being Avarice and Compassion. Multiple times in the DC universe, Larfleez the Orange Lantern, when he loses the ring he actually doesn't want it back and tries to be rid of it; however as soon as it is back on him he is filled with avarice to the point where he does not want to part with the ring. Also the Indigo tribe or compassion actually forces the wearer to feel compassion. It was an experiment of Ah Men Sur (is most likely spelt wrong), to forces violent offenders and murderers to face and feel compassion for all the harm they have done. This was an attempt to rehabilitate the wearer to where eventually they will no longer need the ring, and in one comic it works and Indigo one without her ring actually feels compassion. Also for the black lanterns, you done need to kill a lot of people to get the black ring, you just have to be dead, that's it.

this is going to sound weird, but I think you could easily make a argument about vader being in the pink lanterns, as I always took most of his actions done out of passion and love, he was lead to believe that the dark side was the only thing that could save the woman he loved and his children, hell his final moments are him "killing" palp to save his son, not really something that some completely driven by anger would do

Got a few predictions for where a few of the Jedi should fall under Luke- Hope (the way he confronts Vader at the end is entirely based around the single hope of being able to bring him back to the light whereas Obi and Yoda have given up on that idea entirely) Anakin- Love (Practically everything he does is done in order to save the ones he loves and the fear of not being able to do this pushes him over to the dark side) Mace and Yoda- Will (Mace has a strong personality and a strong desire to overcome the dark side even when he taps into it. Yoda lives on even after the Jedi are defeated and isolated himself on Dagobah knowing that it’s what he must do. Both confront Palpatine, which itself shows that they overcome great fear) Obi- Compassion (Obi Wan shows a lot of compassion where a lot of the Jedis lack it. You can see this when he lets Anakin live on Mustafar and the way he comforts Maul when he is dying, a man who tried his hardest to kill him for years)

I’d say kylo ren’s lantern corp is shame. I mean, his uncle tried to kill him solely because of some darkness in him and he felt so guilty about killing his father that he tricked his own mind into creating a figure of his fathers look to try and turn himself back to the light. He also was left momentarily incapacitated when he felt his mom die which gave Rey enough time to grab his lightsaber and stab him in the chest.
