I think the old were probably better but I hate how the heads are so big. I like how on the legacy the heads still have a similar shape but they are more like other Lego heads.

Legacy Kruncha has different print than DotD skulkin, so they did it for show accuracy and not lazyness. I prefer legacy skulkin with the old boots (honestly, I don't understand why they don't have them, cause Lego still makes that piece to this day) Also a small question: can the legacy head fit on top of the "old spiky armour" for Nuckal?

I see legacy kruncha and nuckal in the same sort of way as the redesigns of the ninja. Yeah, they look different, but they’re more expressive

Honestly the only Skullkin general I prefer is Legacy Cruncha, I prefer the originality of old Ninjago, I mean it still has original ideas, it just lost what I think the core of the original sets had being where they feel like toys in tandum with designs that look like they would be in old Japanese style art. Classic Cruncha I do still have purpose for but he is not at all Cruncha for me tbh.Nuckal I prefer the original because of it being more accurate and I just like the oversized heads overall, plus I just think he looks high. Whyplash is one I wish appeared more possibly being brought back as the Skulkin leader after Garmmadon and Samukai were defeated, with him leading the remaining Skulkin on Ninjago.

In my opinion, the original version of the Skulkian And Garmadon look much better to me. They just are super unique are great looking figures. The new ones are just ok. Also the older Garmadon looks better to me as well. I’m not sure why your original Garmadon figures have a glow to them on camera because mine don’t at all. And overall the original just look so much better to me.

I feel like when discussing these legacy figures, nobody is taking into account that the Legacy line had to represent character designs from ten years of toy lines, all of whom had unique molds, many of which do no physically exist anymore. Lego was obviously not going to remake unique molds for the Skulkin generals AND the unique molds for the ghosts, stone warriors, Serpentine, and who ever else showed up in Legacy, IN ADDITION to the unique molds for the normal Ninjago waves. Obviously shortcuts had to be taken, which meant reusing molds when ever possible. This is why the ghosts and Skulkin are all using the same shoulder pieces, and why the Skulkin generals all have the same easy to reprint heads. maybe if legacy was ONLY remaking 2011 sets, but the point was to remake sets from across all ten years, so of course they can't remake every single mold.

i prefer the new head designs for the skulkin, theyre a bit slimmer and given the benefit of ten years can represent the characters better, the torsos are more or less the same, but the original armour pieces? absolutely no contest, the originals win that by a country mile. so much more spark in them compared to the generic pointed pauldrons of the legacy designs.

I personally love the legacy skulkin after looking at them for a while but garmadon is atrocious. The helmet color being changed to black just looks plain bad. The facial expression is nothing like earlier or new garmadon, it doesn't look like him. The original face prints were really weirdly hard to see but the facial expressions were 100% accurate to his show look and personality. They massacred my favorite character from early Ninjago. The torso print is cool but it's just a recolor of sog garmadon's torso and I think the white on the 2012 figure looked better anyway

4:27 I can see a lot of differences, for one the thing that sticks out to me the most is that Garmadons face has changed from his original to the movie/sog version, the purple belt looks tidier, and the bones also looks tidier on his shirt (although that might just be because its newer) Edit: Oh lol he said pretty much all those things later nvm.

Actually, legacy garmadon's face isn't the same from the movie/sog, the legacy garmadon has darker eyes compared to the movie one, but lighter eyes compared to the original one

idk why but the original skulkin just look off to me, i dont really like either tbh the originals look like those squishy toys you would have as a kid also the weird part under the mouth printing looks really bad and the legacy ones their faces feel flat and i feel they should have different armour and the hats (not including whiplash he is ok) dont look very good, grey (or gm grey) for the helmet and a different piece for the hair would do so much to make them look infinitely better

Original is great in my opinion because it looks more like the show and the legacy just feel so bland/not enough detail. Although they do look more menacing. But In general I just like older Lego sets better, like Lego set 2505.
