While Suisei didn't paticipate in the Puyo Puyo Tetris main tournament, she was kind of the final boss and did play vs Marine after Marine won. And Marine won, because she's just very good at Puyo Puyo.

Not to mention i think it's kinda unfair to compete Tetris against PuyoPuyo. I don't play both, but from what i've seen, PuyoPuyo got somekind of advantages compared to Tetris.

@@tsukinoyuki Well, it was a Puyo Puyo Tetris tournament after all. And yes the consensus is pretty much that Puyo Puyo has an advantage in intermediate play, while Tetris has an advantage in the highest level of play.

Since you included "Holo Worms Tournament" here which is only participated by Hololive ID, Hololive EN, and Holostars EN that also not a major tournament event, let me help you to put some another Hololive tourneys that you missed on this video: God Field Tournament 2023 by Towa (Hololive JP only), the winner is Miko Holo Pokemon Brilliant Mini Tournament 2022 by Reine, the winner is Sana Holo Pokemon Scarlet and Violet 2023 by Reine, the winner is Fauna Kureiji Arcade 2023 by Ollie, each category have the winners and I don't really remember, sorry ;D - Hololive Hide and Seek - Hololive Zombie Raid - Hololive Boxing - Holostars Boxing - Mixed Boxing - Mixed Race Mariokart ID x EN 2021, Ina Win for solo match, Myth+Irys win for teams match Maybe I also missed some tourneys, too lazy to dig deeper

I think if we really wanted to measure only skill, I would’ve 1) Awarded points per win each tournament equal to (number of losers in event)/(number of winners in event) 2) Subtract 1 point per loss 3) divide each player’s points by 1 + (the number of tournaments they lost)

When it comes to judging gamer skill, one way to judge without confirmed wins is for pros with many confirmed wins or a high record in games they’ve played to analyze their best. For example in the indie Vtuber scene, I think we can all agree for those who are familiar that Dokibird is definitely a certified sleeper pro-gamer, even while cackling to a man fumbling the bag over voice chat she’s making consistent headshots in Valorant, or how effective she learned from veteran Justin Wong at SF5 as she then crafted new Zangief tech. Could this way be used to analyze Hololive’s “gamerness”?

A lot of members treat even being eligible for Zako Cup as a mark of shame. Being the champion of Zako Cup makes you a worse player by default than players who lost in the main bracket but couldn’t participate in Zako.

Going by number of wins definitly unfairly disadvantages newer talents and success in events does not necessarily translate to skill as a gamer (especially since these events are relatively limited in what sorts of games they include). However I do think there is worth in cataloging which talents have more wins in various big Hololive competitions even without it actually being any help in ranking them as best gamer. (Also, as much as it hurts me as a Hoshiyomi I must correct you regarding the PuyoTetris tournament. Not the result but your statement regarding Suisei winning if she had actually participated. Because after the official competition was over there was a special match between Marine and Suisei and Marine practically destroyed her (I saw some people talking about how Puyo is stronger than Tetris in the game but it really isn't worth to get too worked up over a simple fun event). So even if she had participated and got to the final she would probably lose to Marine (though if she actually participated she might have practiced more and performed better against Marine but speculating really doesn't matter).) (Also in the 2024 Mario Kart tournament Suisei actually tied Towa in points, though Towa still won and was placed first by the system Mario Kart tournaments use (which iirc is either finishing the final race higher or having more first place finishes, but I am not sure really. Don't remember how exactly it was determined).) That said, I am going to meme over the results in the list... Ahem: ABSOLUTE SUIPREMECY BABY, HERE WE GO!! ☄🏆🎉

On MarioKart, yes the winner of the same points is determine by higher rank overall and if that still tie, there is overall time use in the tournament to determine winner, and Towa got more 1st rank than Suisei so she win

Marine's team also won the 2023 Splatoon tournament. Towa also won CR Cup Apex 10 in 2023, and Koyori won Vtuber Spring Koshien this year. Not sure about Valo and SF6 but I don't remember holomem einning those.

it's impossible to judge this kind of stuff. the best gamer based on winning numbers? tjhats... not a fair judgement. for example, mumei, actually a good gamer in overall kinda of games. good at FPS, good at holocure, and other stuff. she also drive good in GTA RP. also good at horror games. good at suika game. good at solving puzzles too. and some knowledge game stuff. BUT she lacks of commitment playing a game for long time. some games, she is not yet finished. councilrys RPG is one of them. yes, even a game about her own group.. XD also, shes not tested yet on vtuber FPS tournament. like APEX or Overwatch tournament. and vice versa, some holomembs, actually not that good at gaming, but often to be included in game tournaments. the whole holoID are not for gaming. exception for kaela but kaela is just about endurance. not about being a good gamer. kobo is a toxic gamer btw.. shes not that good either XD and there is a special kind of gamer. the ENDURANCE GAMER. like korone and kaela. both, not that good at gaming. but their specialty is.. to play a game for like 10 hours nonstop and more. grinder is not a good gamer, people. grinder is just grinder. everyone can do that if you can endure hours of playing the game.
