Todd Bowles is ice cold this year. Mike Evans got two years, Baker got three with an out after two. Bowles is the coach in TB for 2024 and 2025, and if it's garbage, then Licht blows the team up and starts over with new coach and QB in 2026, but not before then.

I still don’t know how matt eberflus survived this offseason. 3 blown double digit leads in the 4th quarter. lost to the lions while being the first team ever to lose while having: 40+ minutes time of possession, and +3 turnover margin. His staff hires have all been horrible, with some getting in trouble with the fbi, and his best staff hire being Luke getsy, an Aaron Rodgers made qb coach and first time play-caller that got himself fired. The second half of the season where his defense “developed” the only good offense they played well against was Detroit, every other team either had a backup qb, or in the cardinals case, Kyler and a bunch of nobodies. And when they played a real qb like Jordan love with offensive pieces around him they got worked. Which he’s 0-6 now against the packers. I don’t get it

Honestly my top 5 Coaches on the Hot Seat are 1. Robert Saleh - Jets 2. Matt Eberflus - Bears 3. Nick Sirianni - Eagles 4. Dennis Allen - Saints 5. Sean McDermott - Bills Mike McCarthy is a close honorable mention here, and Brian Daboll I feel like will get another shot but these 5 I feel like if something or everything goes wrong, they're done. Saleh hasn't proven anything despite making the defense solid, and they're betting everything on Rodgers. Eberflus is getting his last chance like Nagy and Fox before him, lets see if third times the charm. Sirianni really needs to prove that it was his coordinators that caused the self nuclear annihilation that was the 2023 Eagles. Allen needs to prove that he can coach the Saints into the playoffs and win the weakest division in the NFL. McDermott despite all the playoff appearances hasn't taken the Bills to the promised land, the honeymoon period lasts only for so long before results are wanted and I feel like that time is crawling near and fast and with all the lost free agents, it's gonna be an interesting ride.

Why is Saleh on the hot seat for everyone? Like Daboll or Gannon get excuses that their QB was injured. And I feel it's more on the management than him that money got invested into Lazard and other Friends of Rodgers instead of the O-line.

There’s technically many coaches who are and aren’t on the Hot Seat, with varying degrees: 1. Barely warm. 2. Warming up. 3. Hot Seat. 4. Scorching Hot. 5. Fired at any moment. 1. Mike McCarthy is a 4. He seems like a good enough soldier to Jerry Jones that unless he has a stretch of going 2-5, 2-6 and they’re not getting much going offensively. 2. Brian Daboll is a 2. Keeping Daniel Jones and not getting a better backup or rookie to challenge Jones. Plus, in spite of the high draft picks of Schmitz and Neal, no good offensive line and they’re secondary is almost as young as Indianapolis. It gets hotter if they end up 1 of the worst records, but then they could end up with a top QB rookie of their choice. 3. Nick Siriani is a 3. It could become a 5 if they struggle greatly. 4. Matt Eberflus is a 4 that could be a 5. They finally have a franchise like rookie quarterback, a decent offensive line, good skill position players, and a decent defense, but they’re still struggling to keep leads and his struggles for leadership. 5. Todd Bowles is a 2. Unless the Buccaneers struggle throughout the season, he’s keeping his job. 6. Kyle Shanahan is a 1. Not great, but he will more than likely be there next season. 7. Sean McDermott is a 3, but could be a 5 if they struggle in the pass game and on defense. It just seems like a rebuilding due to salary cap restraints, but a total no show like the middle of last season will have his butt on fire. 8. Mike McDaniel is a 2. Unless the team tanks at the end of the season again, while the offensive line stays injury prone and the defense underachieves again. A team if McDaniel gets fired at the very least would be an offensive coordinator. 9. Robert Salah is a 5. He always has a decent defense, but the offense in spite of consistently having enough playmakers has underproduced. He’s got and injured offensive linemen and meh with backup quarterback. He needs at least a playoff appearance to be back next season. 10. Zac Taylor is a 1, and will more than likely stay around there unless the team completely falls apart. 11. Kevin Stefanski is a 2, but could possibly be an unexpected firing. He needs to finally get DeShaun Watson producing, even with an especially hard year with numerous offensive linemen injured. 12. Mike Tomlin is a 2, but could be a 4 if they continue to underachieve on offense. The defense still does well and they made the playoffs. 13. Doug Pederson is a 2. Lawrence would need to continue to get worse, the defense stays inconsistent. 14. Sean Payton is a 3. Considering how quickly the new ownership is wanting results, an offense that needs to be consistent, and a secondary that could falter outside of Pat Surtain 2. 15. Antonio Pierce is a 2. If they finish around .500 or better, it’s a 1. If they’re bad, he moves to a 3 (unless Mike Davis gets impatient again). If bad enough, they could finally get a rookie Quarterback that could change the franchise.

You do realize the Saints finished with the exact same record as the Bucs & Packers last season, right? They were all 9-8 Derek Carr had a better passer rating over the final 6 games than Jordan Love AND had Derek Carr not been injured while being up 17-0 on the Packers, the Saints win that game and the division and host a playoff game, while the Packers finish 8-9 and miss the playoffs. Perception is a very strange thing.

The hottest of hot seats has to go to Saleh. After that thoroughly embarrassing presser with him not knowing what to say about A-A-Ron's absence, c'mon. Sean McDermott is scorching, in my opinion. He's had bare minimum good Josh Allen for 5 seasons. Elite Josh for 4. They have made the AFC Championship game once. Where they were promptly embarrassed out of Arrowhead. Sure, he's given this team life it hasn't seen since Jim Kelly, and they've won 4 straight AFC East titles, but at a certain point, when is enough enough? Allen isn't getting any younger, and your team is the weakest it's been in years. I get it. He's been dealt some bad hands in the playoffs. But at a certain point the trains gotta stop

On McDermott as a bills fan, there’s a lot of things he has to do to get himself off the hot seat. The least he could do is get us a Super Bowl appearance. I appreciate everything he’s done for the team and organization but when there’s a loss to a close game that happens to be the game of the year and a loss in the divisional (most notably the chiefs) every year, that’s where you get sick and tired of him. And he knows it too. He wants to get us a ring and surely we do as well but he ain’t doing it!
@worfsonofmogh11543 ай бұрын
Sean McDermott broke the drought with Tyrod Taylor. We've had so much success to what it looked like before. He's the best defensive minded head coach in the league. He deserves to be inducted into the Bills Hall of Fame. But if we don't make the Superbowl in the next 2 years, he should be fired. This year, he's fine since nobody is expecting the team to be great. Probably 10-7 or 11-6 again with a loss in the divisional round. However, if we don't get there in 2025-26, he's gotta go. My greatest fear is that he's a bridge coach. He's a guy who can go into a terrible defensive team and turn it around. He'll take a beleaguered team to the playoffs. That's the kind of coach certain franchises would love to have. Yet, Sean is now the fourth longest tenured headcoach in the NFL Given how long it took for Pegula to fire Don Granato with the Sabres, I think McDermott will be fine.
