Hi, I bought my Oled switch premodded so I don’t have the micro usb connector that you show in 15:35. Do you know the name of that piece so I can buy it? I would like to flash my chip. I had updated system firmware to 16.0.1 and the chip stopped working so I want to flash or retrain the chip.

each of the USB connector is "paired" to the chip, they have a specific code and you cannot use random USB connector. Don't update the chip, just reset it using a tweezer and the chip will work again. BTW, if you are using the stock chip firmware, please get into the SD loader screen and see the chip firmware version on the bottom right of the screen. If it is 0.31, you are fine.

Bought an oled pre-modded. It's got an unknown version of hwfly-nx firmware installed on the chip, I can see the black "hekate - IPL NO SD CARD" screen when I turn it on without a SD card, and from there I can press both VOL + and VOL - to boot OFW. Thing is, when I power the console on by holding VOL +, the green light does not stay on (looks like it does not enter DFU mode). Is this something that could've been disabled by whoever installed the chip? Is there a way to reenable this functionality? I'd like to be able to retrain the chip using the hwfly-toolbox when and if the need arises.

you can find the tools on aliexpress, like the Eakins Autofocus microscope. I use Hakko FX951 soldering station , mechanic tweezer, etc..

I reflashed the stock firmware 🚀 v 0.32 and I see that it boots way faster than the hwfly-nx 0.7.2... As I had noticed after flashing the hwfly-nx that seemed to be considerably slower. With the stock fw🚀 it takes 0-2 seconds to boot the console while with the hwfly-nx it takes 3-5 seconds in my case. This is on a Mariko v2 switch with Samsung sysNAND 😊 Maybe with skhynix sysNAND the hwfly-nx works faster. In my case I'm staying with the stock one! 🚀

I just flashed the HWFLY-NX 0.7.2 yesterday on my Mariko with Samsung emmc and I see that it glitches considerably slower than the original firmware with the rocket 🚀 screen... The stock firmware with the rocket screen was booting the console much faster in my case. I just flashed the HWFLY-NX because I wanted to have the possibility to bypass the chip at the beginning to boot directly into the OFW without having to launch Hekate so that I can play the original games I have purchased from the Nintendo online shop. Also with the stock rocket 🚀 FW the console was not turning back on after Powering it off from HOS... Each fw has it's pros and it's cons... For me it is essential to be able to bypass the chip at the start to be able to use the SD card with my purchased games, something that the stock fw 🚀 cannot do.

You can always press the volume minus button while turning on the console to boot to ofw using the rocket firmware. You can do the same on the hwfly-nx by pressing both vokume buttons

I believe the firmware now is corrupted as it directly boots to OFW now and no LED lights on the modchip. Now question is... Can I fix this by flashing thru the USB connector method? Or do I need a ST Link programmer? I don't have either of the two right now so I'm not sure what to order on aliexpress. I would prefer if I can fix this thru USB connector only but I could br just wasting time and money if this doesn't work. So maybe you have an idea which should I buy?
