Which One Should you Wear? Velcro vs Flex Fit vs SnapBack vs Fitted New Era

Velcro has always worked fine for me they are my favorite style hands down.

Flex fits all the way, it allows for growth of hair! My head is an odd size for fitted, one size is to small the next one up is to big. One problem is I find most MiLB team shops don’t have flex fits, or a good selection. So I end up with Velcro for MiLB teams. Otherwise enjoyed the video.

Fitteds are the best but I can’t do the flat bill it makes it look like I have a box on my head lol and I agree with you the flex fit is next on my list, theyre perfect to wear while going to the gym or something

Velcro is good until it collects fabric or hair and doesn’t want to connect anymore. Flex fit is nice when new but the elastic wears overtime and after you cut your hair it’s not the same anymore. Fitted is also nice if you know your size but then again don’t fit the same after cutting your hair. SnapBack for me because it’s adjustable when your hair starts to grow and they last the longest. Also instant ventilation in the forehead when you wear backwards.

I own a few snapbacks and velcro hats, because they are sometimes easier than a sized fitted hat not fitting properly but then again sometimes fitteds work or look better, or for baseball, they are more authentic, unless an adjustable hat is more authentic like the mesh snapbacks of the charlotte hornets, charleston royals, or winston0-salem twins minor league ball clubs

For me if i see a hat i like im buying it! I perfer fitteds if i had my way but sometimes they make cool hats in snapbacks and other types and not in fitted sizes😔, great video!

I’m new to wearing hats but I wear the fitted 5950 7&5/8 hats. I like the snap backs but I can only fit them when it’s on the last 2 holes & that looks like the hat is holding on for dear life do they make snap backs bigger?

The problem I have with Velcro, Snapback, and Flex fit, is the fact that, most logos are embroidered after the hat was made, which means the embroidererment bleeds over onto the head part to where I can feel that embroidered logo, it can really make it uncomfortable, that's the biggest reason I don't wear those, the only Snapback I'll wear is the New Era, at least the logo doesn't bleed to where I can feel it on my forehead.

Fitted are the only way to go. Though because I would rather stab myself with a fork than sweat my way through the blistering hot summers here in Toronto, I like to wear the odd 47’ Brand strap back hat now & then, as well. Simply because of the lighter/more breathable material they are made of. As far as the other 3 types of hats you mentioned. Well I don’t do snapbacks or velcro. And the only flex fit I own is my Florida Gators one. Which I like to wear on Gator softball game days when my favourite college pitcher of all-time, Marietta-Georgia’s own Kelly Barnhill is starting.

yes, curving the brim does make the hat fit a little more better! But, because of the inconsistency of material's now a day's, I always suggest going up a size!

What do you think of dad hats with an adjustable buckle? I have a decent amount of them since they were from when I was in high school, so I still wear them occasionally. Fitteds are my main hats though for sure

First: This is just my opinion of course! But, if you already own the hat, it's fine, never get rid of a good hat! I do understand, sometimes you just can't get the hat you want or a hat has a special meaning or a certain hat fits better than others. I grew up only having snapbacks and fitted's. Major League Hatz very true a hat is better than no hat! for example, I got a Ben Franklin sixers hat but had to get a SnapBack because I couldn’t find a fitted version. I mainly grew up with snap backs as well, some dad hats and some fitteds.

That 6ers Ben Franklin hat is a sweat one, so I don't blame you! I have mentioned that there are a lot of good snaps coming out! I might give in evidently, but if I do, I want the first snap to be an extra special one. That will take a minute to obtain though. Overall, I hope you enjoyed the video! It seemed to get a nice amount of feedback, good or bad, I like hearing people's different perspectives. By the way, do you go to the Rubber Ducks games at all? You said your close to them! Major League Hatz I’d definitely be interested to see what SnapBack you get, if you do end up getting one. Video was definitely interesting, the Velcro portion gave me a good laugh! And yes I try to go to at least a few ducks games every summer, I love the minor league atmosphere! I’ve been to a couple Lake County games as well, (CLE single A). Never been to a clippers game (AAA) since they’re 2 hours away and CLE is only 1, but I definitely need to do that sometime. Definitely come down to Akron though :)

Flexfit all the way for me now. Cheaper than the low profile 5950's I have been wearing for a few years now and less quality control issues from what I have come across.

hey if I like the hat, and it fits, and I will wear it, then sure buy it! snapback, flexfit, fitteds, velcro, etc.. I have no prefference fitteds are cooler to me, and more of a favorite of mine, but honestly I have no preference.

I love fitted and flex. Especially because I wear my hats backwards a lot (stupid style, but it looks good on me a LOT of people have told me 🤷‍♂️) so I like having the logo on the back as well. For that reason I'd rather have a velco hat instead of a snap back, because the few velcro hats that I do have, have a team ne or even city name on the strap.

Snap back hats are like wearing your big brother's old jeans that are too big for you. Fitted hats are for YOU. Did you ever see someone with a small head wearing it backward, with all that material bunched up?

Yup! I think a lot has to do with people not knowing their sizes, but also possibly not having a normal size and also, with the different manufactures now a days, sometimes the fit is off, if you do get your size and you know your size! I've had to pick up a couple of 7-3/4 lately as well!

Personally I wear snapbacks because I'm comfortable with wearing them and they are cheaper than the fitted ones I'm not paying over 75 dollars for a fitted hat btw I'm from New Zealand that's why our prices suck on hats I love snapbacks and that's my opinion and I really don't care if you judge me or not

Hey Mark, If your really interested, just try on a couple of fitted's and depending on your hair growth, or your comfort level, go up a quarter size! That's why I moved up to 7 5/8! Sometimes 7 1/2 would feel too tight.
