I just started using the PM1 into some microphoned up isolation ear defenders. It's changed my life 🤟🏻

As a drummer the P1 is perfect. The stereo feature is awesome as I can pan my toms the way I'm looking at them (with X32Q) while not affecting the pan at FOH. I've owned it 4-5 years and never had an issue. I also work in live sound and running the P1 (with battery) is awesome checking for signal at the end of a long XLR run. Great bit of kit.

we were using a rehersal space and I'm using my P1 & IEM setup - any recommendations to get all my volume to my in-ears? it's a bit quiet when the entire band has everything on full blast (vocalist here using typical mic) I'm still a bit new to the mixer they have in the space - could it just be a gain setting? should my XLR be going into the master channel? (the channel my mic is going into has no other output or inputs that I can see) any help is much appreciated to a IEM noob here :)

Hi, I'm a drummer of a poprock band from Peru. In live shows, our sound engineer sends me a mix which enters a small console that I have and in the output of my console, I connect my headphones. I want to buy some behringer system that allows me to have my return mix directly without having to take my own console to each show. The volume level that I need to have in my headphones is high, I'm afraid to buy some of the behringer systems and not give me the level I want. What would you recommend me? the P1? or the P2? Does the p2 seem to be smaller and more comfortable and that is great to me, but I think it has lower output power than the P1? Thank you for your answer

may be a stupid question but can you run a mic cable from the kick drum mic to these devices and then ur in ears from this? eliminating the need for a mixing desk?

Could you use a P1 or P2 in conjunction with a wireless microphone/guitar system (such as the XVive U2 or U3), and use it as a wireless in-ear monitoring solution for the stage?
@TitanAV2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jack. I have heard of people using the Xvive U3 with the P2 for wireless in ears. Not the most compact system but it apparently works.

I am looking for an in ear setup for band (classic rock) rehearsals in my basement - primarily to lower the sound for others in the house. We have a digital drum kit and can run everything through my XAir XR16. The XR16 can let each member control their own monitor mix with their mobile phones. Given this would we need to use the powered P2 or could we get away with the passive PM1?
@TitanAV2 жыл бұрын
Hi Craig, you'll need a powered P2 or P1 coming out of the aux outputs on an X-Air mixer.

Hello guys! I am a drummer in a smashing pumpkins tribute band. I need one of these for our live performances. Which one do you think is the best one for me?? Thank you very much!!!
@TitanAV2 жыл бұрын
Hi chdochido, if you're wanting stereo you could go with the P1. P1 will also run off a power supply. P2 is a great option if you're only using mono sends.

I have an old mixer that has output to monitor, when I connect some in ear directly sound at low volume and only on one side (the mixer is mono) I wanted to ask you if this device solves that problem, in my ignorance I think it is a question of impedances, because in the manual of the mixer it says that the monitor output is 500ohms .... how could that be solved?

You can flick the p1 and p2 over to mono mode which will run the signal in dual mono mode

Yes. Getting a monitor mix with the P2 and in ears is exactly the same way an engineer would mix if ou were on wedges.

So the PM1 can be plugged directly into a mixing console with an XLR? It doesn't need to be powered? Why would I get the powered P1 when the passive PM1 does the same job? Also with the powered P1, can I just connect it to a guitar with a TRS (1/4 patch cable) so I can listen to it directly?
@TitanAV6 жыл бұрын
The PM1 is passive so isn't meant to be run without a headphone amp. In saying that I manage to get enough sound straight out of my XR mixers to be loud enough for me. The P1 and P2 are powerful enough to run straight out of an electric guitar with passive magnetic pickups and get enough volume for practice or what not
@MusiCliques5 жыл бұрын
@@TitanAV I bought PM1 and used it recently. The volume is too soft and even my wedge sounded way louder. I did turned up the volume knob for both mixer board and pm01 to max, however it's still very soft. My IEM is Shure 215. Any advice? Is it because it's passive so it's limited to the volume output?
@TitanAV5 жыл бұрын
@@MusiCliques Yes, you have to remember the PM1 is passive, so its designed to be used with a headphone amp. It won't be very loud coming straight out of an aux send on a desk. For quite gigs, I personally can get enough volume out of it but it doesn't work this way for everyone.

Roland Muller Hi mate. I'm just looking at these too, for my band FishtailParker. From my research, the two battery powered units, are headphone amps, therefore boost the signal, giving you way more control. They also feature a limiter to pretect your ears from wayward signals. The Passive box, ( P1 I think) is really a waste of time, unless you need to lower the volume. Our drummer has the larger PM1 unit, and is very happy, has been using it for a year. It does chew through the 9v batteries though. We are looking at the new p2 units for the rest of the band. I do wish Behringer used a different naming system on these, because all these P 1's & 2's are confusing online. Some retailers are selling the passive P1, as the amped version....some even list it as wireless, so make sure you do your research. Good luck.
@TitanAV5 жыл бұрын
@@bretthowe8364 It does get a bit confusing. P1 and P2 are active headphone amps and the PM1 is passive, used more as a volume controller for a dedicated headphone amp. Love my P2's!
