I'm still guessing that the role Giancarlo is referring to is as the voice of Norman Osborn in the new Spider-Man Disney+ animated series. Partly because that role has no confirmed voice actor at the moment, and it would fit the description of a re-imagining of a certain character while also coming sooner rather than later. Also, Norman's character design in the new show feels like a character meant to be voiced by Giancarlo

At least according to the MCU wiki and the articles it cites, one of them being a registration with the U.S. copyright office, all the voice actors for the main cast have been confirmed. The only recurring/guest cast members confirmed so far are Paul F. Tompkins and Charlie Cox, with Norman being one of the recurring roles not confirmed so far.

If he’s being typecasted for being basically “Gustavo Fring but in Marvel” like he has been in just about everything recently, then I’d say Tombstone would be a perfect fit for him. Complete business man, but also absurdly brutal and an extremely intimidating force both with his words and physical abilities? That’s Esposito’s characters to a tee. However I really don’t think they’re going to typecast him like that, he’s clearly been wanting to show off some range for a while, so I really hope they give him some very surprising role

I think if he’s in deadpool 3, I think it’s most likely he does a John Krasinski and is cast as a variant of professor X and deadpool would be like “here’s your fan cast but they aren’t doing it in the main mcu”

It’d actually be pretty fun if in Deadpool 3 they zapped into a universe where Giancarlo is Professor X, Daniel Radcliffe or Tom Hardy is Wolverine, Denzel Washington is Magneto. Like they just get all the fancasts out of the way and then we can all move on from them (like what they did with Krasinski)

I assume 'new and original' just means a character that hasn't been played by a major actor before. So this can still be a thanos type of role since there was an actor for thanos before brolin but not a major actor who could do heavy drama and put their own mark on it. So nothing like Xavier, Loki, Osbourne or anything that has an iconic actor attached to it in the past. But maybe Galactus, maybe Annihilus, or whatever Kang substitute Marvel wants to do if they're done with that character. And any of these can be played into Deadpool since he can just walk past a cameo or meet the character in a post credits scene

Giancarlo's more complete quote was "I think that there’s something about being original. We’ve seen different versions of Professor X. Wouldn’t you like to see me play a character in a Marvel movie who is original, and new, and fresh? So, mark my words: This will happen sooner than you think.” While he says "original" and "new", he's speaking in comparison to Professor X. I think he probably means a "first time in a big role in a movie" type character, rather than a brand new creation or bit part human character. I'd even read "new to the MCU, but not Xavier" as his meaning there. I don't think too many fancasting options are off the table yet.

Out of all of these, I like Wonder Man's manager the best. It can be like Clancy Brown in the MCU, or Andy Serkis in Star Wars. In the flesh as a heroic, grounded character. But it leaves him open to voicing and motion capturing a major villain.
