My dad has been using a gasification unit for able 5 years now. It's expensive but dang is it a lot more. Wood efficient. It smolders wood when it doesn't need heat and burns really hot when it does. He heats the garage with it as well.

That is nice to hear that he is happy with it. I’m hoping we will be just as happy when we have it for that long. It will be paid off by then.

@timberstoneranch he's was heating the house with fuel oil. It's probably paid for itself by now

We were heating with propane and we’re paying 5 to 6k a year. I can’t even imagine what heating oil would be. That is huge savings from oil to an outdoor wood boiler.

We have a conventional OWB where we rent. I like having the option to burn whatever misc wood that is available. We help clean up along fence rows and fields in exchange for the free wood. I do like the idea of a more efficient unit. I’ll definitely keep that in mind for the future.

They are both good options. I know there are people that also burn garage in their conventional units. I hope the video helped.

George Washington used to way out the yay and the nay when making important decisions. I think the gasification unit is the best choice for me.

He was a great man. I hope you found the video helpful to make your decision easier. Please check out our other videos regarding the boiler as we have a gasification unit as well and are happy so far.

I see gasification units for sale on FB all the time. I seldom see a traditional one on there. I've decided to go traditional.

That’s a good choice. Everyone I know that has a traditional boiler has had it for over 10 years with no issues whatsoever. I hope you enjoy.

One other thing you did not mention is the amount of ash you need to clean out of it. I have a lot of wooded acres and a lot of downed trees that have been sitting for years. To clean up my land it will take a life time so I am planning on going conventional

Conventional works amazing honestly, especially if you have the free wood. Conventional will also never break.

Plz don't split fire wood by holding the wood with ur thumb on the top right were the ax is going. Use large channel locks pliers from the side or a pickaroon. You had ur thumb in the strike zone reminds me of processing chickens as a kid there heads fly right off on the chopping block just like ur thumb will if you keep splitting like that. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>THE MORE YOU KNOW.....................

Yes, makes me cringe when I look at that. We got a splitter now. There is no way to process all that wood by hand. Thank you kindly, the hat is sweet.
