And the ipl team of Gujarat is also themed from the ipl team. The Gujarat ipl team is called Gujarat fortunegiants. And Gujarat is kinda known for entrepreneurship spirit.

Love this too. Giants is the perfect team name, especially with that mascot, for a state known for their entrepreneurship. What about the Patna Pirates and Haryana Steelers? Any significance there?

Jaipur is also called pink city, because of their architecture. Even the IPL team of rajasthan (the state whoose capital jaipur is) has pink uniforms. With the purple of the Bengal warriors, purple is the kit colour of the ipl team Kolkata knight riders (Kolkata is the capital of the state west bengal and the state is famous for historically having a large tiger population) tamil talaivas is also a cultural thing(an actor from tamil nadu (a state in india) called Rajanikanth is called thalaiva meaning leader and is super duper popular there, so the team was kinda named that. And hyderabad and bangalore both have kits the same color as their ipl teams as well. Same with Delhi. Mostly because ppl are super used to associating a colour with a particular state of city because of ipl. It's been around for a while( since 2007 or so)

Thanks for sharing all this info! I had no idea Jaipur is called the pink city and why. Nor the other details on team names and their colors. Pretty cool that most teams are heavily modeled after their IPL counterparts due to certain colors being already being associated with particular states. Wish that sort of cohesion was done with sports teams in cities here in the US.
