Fun to watch. But the 30deg looks more like 45deg. And the 50deg looks more like 80deg or more (near vertical). Results show that too. So I have to seriously doubt the ramp angles.

Content creation lessons from this video:- 1) Choose totally different variety of demonstrations because everyone has already selected their favorite car and each one of us has preconceived notion about vehicle's performance, what we want is to just see that in this video. Another advantage of this strategy is that it keeps different types of viewers engaged. 2) Exploit a pattern, many viewers might have noticed that the truck always did 15-30 meters better than that SUV. This became a pattern for each ramp and the viewers might wish to see that pattern repeating 3) Connect real life to game. Many of us wish to see these things happen in real life but we can't, because we just CAN'T. Use as real as vehicles and as real as graphics to simulate real world and let viewers enjoy real crashes virtually which they can't enjoy in real life! This video does a good job with retaining your attention eventually leading to us watching the whole thing!

Absolutely not negligible at all for vehicles of that size going at these speeds. It would take almost no fuel at all to maintain speed on the freeway otherwise. 30 degrees I think is roughly ideal.
@darrenhepperle48542 ай бұрын
@user-nx9nx1ge1x "you think." I KNOW. I'm not stating an opinion. I'm stating a fact. You learn this in your first month of a physics class. If we assume the vehicle always leaves the ramp at the same speed, and if we assume the air resistance is always the same, the mathematical calculations show that the vehicle will travel the greatest distance before touching down when it leaves the ramp at 45°.

There is a mistake on how do you measure ramps. You are measuring ramp angle from the beginning to the end, but what matters is the exit angle. The 30° ramp has likely an exit angle of 45, which makes the longest jump

The ramps weren't accurately labeled. They appear to based on a triangle that takes up the same space but don't account for the ramps' curved path. The departure angle on the last ramp was at least 80 degrees, not 50.

45 degrees works best with no air resistance. With air resistance something a bit lower like 42 will work, however your 30deg ramp is a 45 degree as seem in the picture . Your 40 deg looks more like 80 degree, I suppose you joined the start and the end of the ramp with a chord. The final ramp angle is important

A real-world test would depend on the speed the vehicles hit the ramp and the aerodynamics of the vehicle. Also, the steep slopes slow the vehicle down when it hits, a longer more gentle slope to reach 30deg and 40deg would provide better distance.

Ramp angles are labeled wrong. The 30 degree ramp is more like 45 the 40 degree ramp is more like 60 and the 50 degree ramp is more like 80 Based on pure physics, a 45 degree ramp will always give the longest Distance.
@markh327110 күн бұрын
He conducted the test wrong. The angle was determined by using the start line as end point, drawing a line to the exit point of the ramp. He would have been better to use an inclined plane, beginning at the start point and going to the top of the ramp. That would have shown the true angle given.

@TopherOKeefe21 күн бұрын
The ramps were flawed. Because most of the energy from the potential jumps was converted into damage (and wasted kinetic energy) when the cars invariably bottomed out, nothing can be determined from this (imaginary) experiment. Design more gradually inclined ramps in order to maximize take-off speed and minimize pre-take-off damage to the chassis as well as momentum bleed. The cars need to roll up the ramps under full power, not with broken drive-trains, body deformation, and wheel damage. The poor three-wheeler literally bounced off these ‘ramps’ as if they were walls!
@oviniandrade26 күн бұрын
shouldve tested the same car on all ramps before going to the next vehicle... this way the comparison is not about the ramp, but about the cars
