Landroval for 13 years off and on, and a member of the Lonely Mountain Band for most of them. The clip that you chose for the server looks like Weatherstock, and perfectly illustrates everything great about the Landroval community and the LotRO community at large.

Gladden is good for people who like seeing other people, but enjoy the quiet and not fighting over resources. It's not the most social server on the block, but it isn't toxic either. It seems populated by a lot of old server players who wanted to avoid the crowds of Landy and Brandywine.

I just started playing a few months ago and began with Gladden because I new no better. I don’t really understand why you have to pay points to switch servers. Can you explain the philosophy behind that especially if a noob has no idea what server to pick when they start?

Hi, I'm a new adventurer and started on Arkenstone to get the feel of things. I made it to about lvl 30 solo, and was considering re-rollin to the RP server for fun.

@@Bludborn well, I mean, is it a server where one frequently looses their connection (freeze in place, but you can still turn your character and move the camera for a minute or two before it tells you that you lost connection) I have that occasional issue on crickhollow, as do my sisters who play with me from Virginia (Kentucky for me). Trying to figure out if it's my hardware or the server itself, hence the question. Can't find any related info online thus far, was hoping for an outside perspective from one who plays on a different server.

Good Video could be helpful to new players ! :) I also like forming Friendstrips one of my favorite activites at 7:47. I love brandywine It's my home server. I wish there was a universal translator lots of end game chinese and russian groups... so sometimes pugging can be frustrating with the language barriers.

Lotro hosters should do server maintenance on server time, not on US... Going home after work and cant play it.. that sucks.. the same with backups, server lagging as hell in EU time afternoon

You do realize server time and US Eastern time are the same right? They are, with the exception of the new Mordor server, here in New Jersey.

I have characters on every server, lol. Brandywine will always be "home" because that's where I started 14 years ago, but I also play fairly regularly on Arkenstone, Landroval and Gladden. And I moved my Anor characters to Crickhollow, so I putter around there, too. For whatever reason, I have found the worst lag and glitching on Gladden.

The fact that my PC is several years old probably contributes to it as well. But for example, Gladden is the only server that I've had issues with not being able to log a character in correctly and having to manually close the game through the task manager, and then having that character appear with no gear on in the character selection screen.

If you like a lot of world chatter that reminds you of world of warcraft and has nothing to do with Lotro...Arkenstone is for you. Also..friendly and helpful community? that made me laugh out loud..Yes there are some occasional helpful people on Arkenstone but over all you will be ignored especially if you boosted a character and ask for help, I helped someone yesterday who was asking about his Li he was having trouble with and no one would help him because he boosted his character so I helped him figure out his problem then linked him a few helpful videos on the Legendary item system and he added me on his friends list and at the end he said "thanks I was about to quit the game" apparently he had been asking for a while not just that day..other people in the chat were saying a few thing in regards to him boosting his character ...all in all I've been on Arkenstone since the server merger back in 2015? and I really miss Firefoot. I agree with your take on Evernight, very friendly people there I started playing recently even though I am on the west coast of the US.

На Evernight лучше иди, там прайм тайм европейский, и онлайн больше. Я почти всю жизнь на арке играю, и там народ лишь под вечер собирается. И касательно пинга, щас существуют сервера только в америке(даже если указано что сервер европейский), но чисто теоритически в будущем могут сделать европейские сервера(неизвестно когда)

Arkenstone and Brandywine are the most populated servers so those should be the only options you choose between. Even if you are a solo player, you want to play on the servers where the players are. You want the world you are in to feel alive, not dead.

Unless you're an EU player lol. It's unlikely, but if they ever return servers to EU, you want to be on an EU server.

I was pretty happy on Elendilmir, but Arkenstone has been just fine as a replacement. Ultimately I do believe a lot of the experience you have in game is up to you and not the server you’re on. So I guess that’s how I see it.

I know but look on the bright side, you now have a semi-unique title for some of your characters: " of Snowbourne." Anyone can get "Undying," but the titles some of your characters have are simply not available. In Asheron's Call I had, to my knowledge, the only high level "Vagabond" and "Warrior" on the server if not in the game, because I didn't modify the archetype templates enough to be named an "Adventurer." Eventually, everyone got tired of being an "Adventurer" just like everyone else, so they started to add titles, but those two could never be gotten again, because they changed the Vagabond archetype to Wayfarer and Warrior to Soldier.

It's not. Plenty of English speakers I've found. Sadly they get into politics tho and they're pretty far right and religious sometimes and homophobic. But I picked the server my friends were on. So I turn off world chat and just quest and craft and stuff.
