I was so close to buying that mini craftsman as my first shovel lol. Went to 1 more store and found the Rootslayer Nomad. Bit more money but only have to buy once.

Do you prefer the round bottom shovel or a pointed bottom shovel?

Depends on where I am hunting, Fields I would rather have the rounded bottom. Woods the pointed for roots and such

If I could only pick one I would go with the rounded bottom, something like the predator tools model 42. Reason being is you can move more dirt with a round head but also still cut through the roots if need be with the serrations. www.predatortools.com/collections/shovels/products/all-new-model-42-yorktown-shovel
