Rusty and Stan being forced back together, with Stan struggling and failing to convince Rusty he’s changed, and then to ultimately win him over, would make for a good episode As for Gwen I don’t know if they just haven’t used her or if she and Francine had a falling out (I know she went to prison for trying to frame Francine that time and she stayed there) but Idk why we can’t have both of them. Although in that one episode Barry screwed up the timeline and every season = about 1 month (excluding flashbacks/flashforwards)

Quadmire has a few flash backs to his mother, and iirc she never appeared before Ida became a thing, couldnt tell you if shes returned to like have an akward moment with her Transgender Ex spouse. But presumably they were married for a time, either as a marriage of convincne to keep up appearances, or Ida was just in the closet. But based on Quagmires memory Ida was likely in the military, and never home. that she and Ida's previous life divorced sometime before Ida's debut episode then remarried Stan's father and had Stan, only to be cheated on, or just abandoned, either way would cause the two to seperate for Stan's Dad to then have Rusty with some random woman he hooked up with.

Entering Francine's life and bringing chaos with her. I'm not really sure what they could do with Rusty at this point to be honest. Like i legit forget he even exists, whereas Gwen appeared in one episode and it's one of my favourite episodes.

I think Gwen is a pretty sympathetic character. She covered for Francine and has never really recovered from that at all. Not to mention the way that Stan and Steve keep perving out over her. Although it would be funny to see Steve continue to try to play that facade acting "special" around Gwen and maybe hopefully at some point he accidentally shows his true self not knowing she witnessed him and she calls him out.

Maybe Francine and Stan finds out that Rusty and Gwen are hanging out and they immediately thinks they’re having an affair and that Gwen is using Rusty for his money. They try to talk to both of them but neither of them will even give them the time of day because…why would they, Stan drugged Rusty and his family and tried to steal his house and Gwen was jailed because of Francine…twice. So the Smiths decide to crash Rusty’s thanksgiving dinner to out him and Gwen only to discover GWEN is sitting at the table next to Rusty’s wife. They reveal they’re definitely not having an affair, they are platonic friends who met and bonded over their shared hatred for their siblings and Gwen has become an honorary member of Rusty’s family and has spent the past few thanksgiving with his family. The Smiths chalk it up to a big misunderstanding and try to join in on Rusty’s expensive thanksgiving dinner, but they get kicked out after Rusty calls them out for stereotyping and Gwen calls them out for thinking so low of her

Maybe Gwen should return for a multi-episode redemption arc, and finally reconcile with Francine. Along the way she realizes that the true enemy all along is the nun of the orphanage that Francine was raised at. So Francine and Gwen work together to rescue all the children of the orphanage, and burn it down afterwards, trapping all the staff inside. While Francine uses her left hand to tear out the heart of the nun who constantly slapped her. And all this murder is justified if the victims use their beliefs as an excuse to be bigots, and indoctrinating children with those aforementioned beliefs.

17:33 i’m like 90% irish with the remaining 10% being basically 8% Navajo/Cherokee and the remaining 2% being other random Native American tribes/other ethnicities. My skintone takes more from the Native American than the Irish so i Tan instead of burn in the sun. My wife is mostly Scottish and some Native American. Native plains tribes traditional method of buffalo hunting involved running dozens of them off a cliff and picking the intact pieces they wanted from the carnage. If anything western contact initially improved their environmental impact as horses let them chase down and individually hunt the buffalo.

Ngl between rusty and juchiro (king of the hill) racial half brothers in these shows feel kind of tacky and a less honest excuse to make social commentary about other cultures. The smiths in Arabia lowkey made my jaw drop watching the 2 parter as an adult but at least it was just honest about itself. Rusty existing just for an ironic commentary about settler Colonialism comes off half assed and condescending now. Which is funny cause as a kid that episode deadass was probably my first exposure to Thanksgiving + the obvious. But like, that would be different if they used him as a normal character and not a very special episode character. I'd love to see him interact with their dad, if he got along or saw through his shit it'd both be in character cause we Don actually know much about rusty
