Open letter to IVD: simply saying the lower-end stages are "entry-level" whereas the higher-end stages are for "higher performance" ... that's not helpful at all. What WOULD be helpful is to explain, for example, why someone might want a stage 3 instead of a stage 2 (like, provide a real-world example where having the extra parts in a stage 3 would actually make a huge difference)... maybe provide some real-world driving examples where one would definitely want a particular stage. Focusing on "how much" someone wants to spend suggests that there really is no meaningful difference (in terms of ride) between your products.
@abrams_602 жыл бұрын
"We know it can sometimes be confusing to tell the differences from one stage to another...." Sounds like a design and marketing problem. Probably should have a performance review of those people responsible for making it this wya instead of putting it on your customers to just "look at the list of parts" and figure it out.

I'm looking at the Stage 6
@iconvehicledynamicstv6 жыл бұрын
The Stage 6 is a wonderful system, but you'll want to change a couple of things to support that extra weight you're running. For your application we recommend the Stage 9 system, it has all of the same components as the Stage 6 but with our full RXT rear leaf spring replacement (and longer RXT rear shocks) as opposed to the add-a-leaf. This will be much more suitable for the additional load on an overland style setup. Also, we recommend a 700lb spring option on the front coilovers. Just be sure to specify that you want the heavier springs when placing an order. Hope this helps, thanks!

Mainly use the truck as daily driving to and from work... currently running bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable on front set to highest ring along with the back shocks... I'm considering lifting to 3 or 4 inch but don't know which lift kit or which stage would be suitable for my need. Help anyone?. Do I need to purchase new control arms? What are best ones out there? My truck is pretty bare bones front bumper and high clearance rear bumper, fiberglass fenders and bedsides at the bodyshop for added tire space. None of that overland weight just a daily driven trail rig is what I’m shooting for

@iconvehicledynamicstv4 жыл бұрын
@@MaxDissent We do not provide a lift that tall for your application. The common way of getting 6+ inches of lift on a Tundra is by using a drop bracket lift, which involves major modifications (like cutting out a frame crossmember) to the vehicle. These drop bracket lifts also severely limit the amount of available compression travel causing poor ride quality, handling, and performance. If you decide to use another manufacturer's taller lift system we can always provide extended length shocks for that application, just know that the performance of the vehicle will be drastically reduced compared to using one of our "off the shelf" staged systems. Thanks!

@@knarfluna Brackets or spacers are simply not needed with our suspension systems for that truck. Our upper control arms are engineered to increase caster and provide geometry correction for the new lift height as well as improving the handling characteristics of the vehicle. Increasing the amount of positive caster will aid in straight line tracking, as well as improve high speed stability and cornering effectiveness.
