It really does sound like he's trying his best to justify pulling for Aquila. Aquila over Skyward Bennet for a Catch XL is about ~10.6% ATK substat for her. Not bad, but it definitely doesn't fall under GOAT territory. It's also equivalent to a smaller ATK% bonus for characters + weapons with higher base ATK, XL is probably one of the more generous cases. Plenty of other weapons on the list have a far higher team damage increase than Aquila on Bennet. PJWS on an appropriate carry for instance.

For the first time I got to disagree almost completly with Zajef. Jadewing is awesome on Xiao and Cyno (Staff of Homa is better, yeah, pull on weapon banner then), I rather use Skyward Blade on bennet (much more energy efficient, GL getting Energy/HP on Aquilla). Harp is super flexible, works in almost every bow character (maybe not BiS but why generics characters are good and an generic weapon is bad?). Skyward Spine is an second catch. Not even mentioning on "You pull on weapons for characters" talking about Standard Weapons.

Yeah i went back to check Zyox and has more "favorable" personally on tier list. I dont mind his opinion since he usually composes teams that splits dmg and not heavy single investment which is fair. His perception with weapons is how it contributes for the 4 party composition with supports doing off field dmg or elemental reaction dmg. Understandably many would miss his point since he considers rotation uptime more valuable.

Harp and lost prayer are the best hands down. You can slot those 2 on so many characters and they'll be better than any F2P option almost always. Lost prayer is underrated because it's been dogshit for such a long time, but now you can slot it on wanderer, neuvillette, rizzly, hell even klee is good now with furina.

I always knew lost prayer in itself a weapon is very good. It just took a long time for hoyoverse to have an actual dps catalyst. Even then, most crit substat 5 star weapons are always valid dps boost for supports. But involving catayst support characters, it doesnt compete with TTDS since most of them dont do dmg.

Indeed, I think Harp is the greatest standard banner weapon. It is because it is good on a LOT of characters. While Bennett benefits from Aquila a lot it is not like it is a huge power spike even when accounting for multiple characters getting buffed from it. Harp however can be very good on a dps bow character. I would rather have a Harp on a bow dps rather than an Aquilla on Bennett. Bennett could just use Sapwood Blade. What are the 4 star bows you can put on bow dps characters? Not many good choices here.

It doesn't outpreform 4 stars for all characters, and a couple prefer amos but it indeed overall does well. I'd say Amos is almost always better on Ganyu, in Melt it is better and in Freeze Skyward's only better if you literally only have crit damage rolls with how easy it will be to over cap crit.

But all theory crafting and calculations assuming ur artifact got around 30cv or 25cv.. im not sure. But this makes the most crit based weapon shine.. it is easy to build a gud CRCD ratio with them. Mine ganyu CRCD 69 222 with amos. And im prefer amos.. no matter melt or freeze.. and dmg is better. But if im ult spam support ganyu.. i will use harp. But let be honest.. even on melt.. tighnari signature is the best one on ganyu with benny att buff. Yelan signature also pretty stonk on ganyu freeze and it is much easier to build.. but guess if u got amos and harp only.. u can experiment with them and see which is better.

Nobody pulls for standard banner weapons. So the best standard banner weapon is the one that works FINE on the most characters. The one that if you get, you can spread it around nicely until you actually pull on the weapon banner to replace it. I literally only use Aquila on Qiqi and for Bennett I use either Sumeru craftable or the Alley Flash for base ATK

One of the few times I hard disagree with Zajeff, Aquila is a fine weapon if bennet is key to your account. Harp and lost prayers are definitely better because they make building stats much more comfortable and it’s just a big stat stick that can’t do any bad. If a weapon is great on lots of characters, imo it’s goated af.

Aquila's worth is base on how much of a big deal bennett is in your account. However, as time goes by we can see bennett will start to lose steam the more we get characters like furina that doesn't scale with atk. Additionally skyward blade having ER can be a lifesaver for people that don't have the artifacts that have enough ER. Aquila is 100% a cope ass take, I see more value in 5* standard crit weapons because crit is a harder stat to get than more healing and ER. A skyward harp literally is worth 60 CV last time I check and that can be a big deal for people that likes to play a character but don't have the crit because then it can be use by most dps that likes crit.

By the time Bennet heals, teammates HP will be drained by Furina's Salon members. Better alternative would be Jean. Teamwide instant heal that will proc Furina's buff to the maximum, 40% Elemental Resistance shred not only for Hu Tao but Yelan and Furina as well

It's just judging that one character's performance instead of judging the weapon's performance. Objectively speaking, Aquila Favonia isn't that good except for on Bennett, and even then that's only because it has high base attack; therefore, it is a trash weapon. PJWS is a good stat stick at the very least because it gives crit rate and high base attack. The best weapon on standard banner is most likely skyward harp, as it is a huge stat stick and a great option for most bow characters. The other skyward weapons aren't very bad either tbh; they're not perfect, but they're still pretty versatile.

If you made a list of 1000 people's abyss teams, more would benefit from pulling Aquila than PJWS because more use Bennett than use Xiao and Cyno. Therefore, in the only content whose difficulty matters, pulling Aquila would be more valuable than pulling PJWS. I have both, only one gets used and it's not the spear. PJWS is second or third best choice on a bunch of characters but when the first choice is a fishing weapon, or a 4 star, it's a pointless weapon. I would have been better off not using the crystals to level PJWS.

The crit rate it gives is good for any polearm character, so even if said character can't make best use of its passive it's still getting 44 crit value from using it. Aquila only really works on Bennett because all it has going for it is its high base attack, and most people are still going to find Skyward Blade more useful for Bennett since it gives ER. Aquila's passive and secondary stat are pretty much useless on most characters, whereas Skyward's are actually useful for most sword characters. And again, even if we completely disregard PJWS from this discussion, Skyward Harp is still far better than either option and can be put to great use on just about every bow character in the game. There really is no comparison between Aquila and Skyward Harp because Harp is leagues ahead of it thanks to its whopping 64 crit value and high base attack.

@@rewer Favonius has the lowest base atk for a 4 star weapon. Using it on Bennett isn't worth it. Just use a higher base atk weapon on him and build a little bit more ER on Xiangling. She also benefits from higher ER thanks to the Emblem set. Using Skyward Blade allows Bennett to use a full dmg build too, so I agree with the OP here that skyward blade is his strongest weapon. It gives high amounts of ER, the second highest base atk of all the 5 star swords and somewhat useful passive.

Character's ER doesn't affect the other character's energy generation. You still need enough ER on Xiangling (around 200) despite your Bennett having high ER.

Yes it could be a base attack stat stick on one character, but the passive is absolutely useless and it offers no energy. I would much rather use skyward blade on Bennet and take the slight hit to the buff than to use Aquila. Skyward Harp is the best 5 star standard weapon and it's not close. Its usually within the top 5 weapon of all these characters: Ganyu, Fischl, Linney, Kujou Sara, Childe, Yoimiya, Tighnari ect.

Skyward Harp is realistically only a worthwhile upgrade on Childe and maybe Lyney. For Fischl it's barely better than Stringless, and for everyone else: Yoimiya, Ganyu, Tighnari a 4 or even 3 star weapon can be better (Yoimiya and Tighnari = Stringless, Ganyu = P. Crescent or Mouun's Moon Freeze/Hamayumi or Crescent Melt). The thing about Aquila is that it maximizes Bennett's attack buff, and no other weapon beats it so you will always have a use for it since everyone owns Bennett and he gets played a lot. For other characters you may always have a chance of replacing a standard weapon since there almost always is a better limited weapon. An account that pulls a lot of limited weapons will eventually have Harp, Lost Prayer, etc., catching dust whilst Aquila has a good chance of still being used.

Again, harp is usually always within the top 5 weapons of attack scaling bow dps characters, and even when beaten out, it usually isn't by much. Stringless is definitely not better than Harp on Tighnari or Yoimiya and is only comparable to Harp in Fischl aggregate, where both are top 5 options. Outside of aggregate teams Stringless is strictly worse than Harp on Fischl, especially with the Golden troupe set. For Ganyu, she has some 4 star weapons that outperform Harp, but they outperform harp so slightly that it does not matter, they are all close to her bid in performance, but the 4 stars have restrictions like getting a weak point shot for example, and you need to get billets to get them to r5 first for them to even be comparable. Harp works unconditionally, and is a top pick at r1. Aquila does nothing for Bennet but maximizes his buff. You don't think an account that pulls limited 5 star weapons won't possibly have Mistsplitter or Skyward Blade? Both which are far better 5 star options for Bennett. It is much more likely that your Aquila will be gathering dust before a weapon like Harp, that is useful for many different characters and most likely even more characters in the future.

Raiden just happens to have the ability to compensate that a little bit but nowhere as potent as the actual respective battery. Sure, you can argue that Raiden will be more relevant because she provide flat energy but how good is the team is a different story. I could also argue the same that Bennett would ALSO be more relevant because 90% of the entire roster are ATK scaler and Bennett will improve literally any ATK scaler. Bennett also have some use in Dendro Archetype, namely Burgeon team and Thunderring Furry. Bennett also work with Furina. yeah, he doesn’t work with Neuvilette but so does Raiden and Beidou. how about that ? Hmmm ?

People often underestimate C0 Raiden or just straight up using C2 as a benchmark. like.. yeah, literally every character are stronger with constellations but that does not invalidate them at C0 by any mean. I don’t think she is that great but I don’t think she’s not as good as other either. she’s a fine character, in an upper middle meta team. I still play her as a hyper carry time to time but most of the time, she’s a hyperbloom trigger (I have her at C3 but f that, it’s less fun that hyperbloom lmao) And I think C0 Raiden is perfect for people who want to play hyperbloom. especially Neuvilette hyperbloom with Furina. you don’t have to get up close to enemy like Kuki, It also has an absurd amount of ST DPS and very good AoE DPS.

Without a doubt SkyHarp is much better than every other standard weapon. Aquila is literally only for the most boring meaningless character in the game, who loses relevancy over time. SkyHarp works on pretty much every Archer in the game.

Never seen someone cope so hard to put a weapon with the most useless substat and the most useless passive at God tier just becauae it made the one only character to give 90 more atk ish to the teammate (compared to skyward blade which has energy rechagre). Most weapon banners nowaday no longer feature standard weapon so almost every 5 star standard weapons people have are from standard banner and off rate so most people almost never "pull for the characters" except if you played in the first year of the game. They just get it because god of gacha want them to. Therefore standard weapon tierlist should be accounted for how universal it is to use, even when it's not their BiS, but they are still better than most 4 stars option. For me, my GOAT standard weapon would be jade wing spear, it is my first weapon that i got as an off rate, and i just so happen to have Xiao too. But then Hutao came out and i liked her playstyle more so i gave her JWS and she was one of my best DPS. After then i pulled for her C1 and Homa so now the JWS belongs to Xiangling (i'm too lazy to fish for the catch anyway) which is my point for how universal the JWS is, and it is also aplicable for harps, lost player (used to be bad since there were only Klee but now more DPS that can use this) because crit stat is super good for most dps characters, that they are better than 90% of 4 stars wp and can compete for signature as a good stat stick.

Bigger Bennet buff is nice and all .. but I'd rather have the 46 to 78 ER on him and I hate swapping weapons for specific teams so I'd rather use the one that works on all of em. I have Mistsplitter which is Bennett's BiS and I still use Fav. It's too annoying when Bennet tries to battery Xiangling and too few particles come out. Rebuilding Bennet for more ER is one thing, but doing so to Xiangling would hurt team damage more than the increase in Bennet's buff

@@SeenE-kg9nj You can rebuild Bennett entirely with as much ER as reasonable, throw a higher base attack weapon with some ER on him (Like Sapwood Blade), and then throw Fav on some other team member for the purpose of more particles (Like XQ/Kazu/Sucrose). Bennett on his own really doesn't do that much damage overall so I like having more snapshot damage on Xiangling given that I can use her burst comfortably. I don't dislike the idea of Fav on Bennett but it always feels like I am missing out on his buff's potential if I do that.

I hate Aquila. It's a physical damage sword made for on-fielders. There literally isn't a character in the game that properly fits that role unless you wanna cope and play phys Keqing or something. The only reason people use it is as a stat stick on Bennett, and even that feels terrible because both the substat *and* the passive are absolutely useless for him, it's literally only for the high base atk if so. Even then I would still rather take Skyward Blade on Bennett in that case, at least that has usable effects and stats for an ever so slightly smaller burst buff. Sapwood Blade is also fine. The only saving grace it has is that it's a standard weapon, so at least you can get it as a freebie unlike Mistsplitter on him

On the subject of goat 5 star weapons. I find Primordial Jade Cutter to be quite great at just being usuable by pretty much everyone. I know full well that's it's not a standard banner weapon but it's one of those weapons that you don't exactly intentionally pull for. I pulled mine when I was pulling for the Xiphos Moonlight for my Kuki. I got Xiphos Moonlight as well as PJC and since then it was held by my Nilou but now it's held by my Furina. It may not be the BiS for anyone really, but its a great enough placeholder for many characters. You're a hp scaling dps/sub dps? - here's a 20% hp boost and a fxck ton of crit rate. You're an atk scaling dps/sub dps? - here's some atk and a fxck ton of crit rate. You're an hp scaling support? - here's 20% hp boost. One way or another, most sword users can find uses on any of the things this sword gives. Other than EM scalers or ER hungry ones of course. But those are weapons types that you can easily get. EM? craftable weapons like Iron Sting will be good enough. ER hungry? Fav is easy to get and is just the best at that. TLDR; even if you lose to this sword in a 50/50, you're not really losing.

He's a fake Bennett salesman because dude thinks he's permanently glued to Xiangling when Skyward Blade gives only like ~91 flat atk at worst (on crown) less for a whopping 55% ER!!! There's teams where his ER reqs spike to 280+, I mean he sells fav because of the ER, but now all of a sudden a wep is in between the mathematical best and the most convenient for ER and someone that's worse? Don't get me started on not putting harp on goat as if it's not basically a free clone of Polar Star/Thundering Pulse for 90% of characters

To be honest, I think primordial jade spear is the worst weapon for a non Xiao user. Maybe on cyno it's pretty good. And it's skewed because I lost neuvi weapon to homa. And I don't necessarily like polearm characters. But the biggest polearm characters like xiangling and Raiden, only get a 1-2% DPS increase over the catch. And I don't think it'd be that good on hutao tbh

The logic in this video is so backwards and contradictory. Firstly, nobody here is actually aiming to target these weapons so the "you pull weapons for the characters" argument is null and void, these are usually acquired on accident and people are trying to find ways to utilize them rather than the other way around. Additionally, why is Aquila considered a GOAT when it's only useful on legitimately 1 character, but Jade-Wing Spear gets knocked because there are supposedly "not that many polearm carries" when we have Raiden, Xiao, Hu Tao, and Cyno who can all use it fairly well? We also have many off-field carries that could use Jade-Wing Spear, if the player has Jade-Wing at R1 it's way better than something like Dragonbane R1.

I hard disagree. Standard weapons you dont choose and the way you rank this weapons should be how it affects a character vs their 4 star weapon counterpart. Bennett with Aquila is barely better than the thousands of other options you have for bennett vs Xiao with Jade vs Xiao with his BIS 4 star. I think Zajeff really dropped the ball on this one.

I would still disagree. A 15% improvement (if you have alley flash is even lower) on Bennett's burst is much less significant for your account, than getting a good stat stick with CRIT for your main damage dealer.

its still not that much of an improvement compared to 66 crit value like harp and lost prayer, plus weapons like alley flash and sapwood blade are already good f2p options for bennett

@@italomorais9424 I think the main reason why is because you dont need to pull for standard weapons, eventually you will get aquila and for your main dps you could prioritize pulling his signature if you wanna maximize team damage. Overall you will use bennett a lot more than all main dps and i think that makes a lot of difference rating.

So, for him to put a weapon that's just a 15% increase in Bennett's burst from a sapwood blade(which has a useful substat and a somewhat useful passive) above weapons that are the only means for him to give CRIT weapons for his main DMG dealears. It just sounds so weird.
