Fun fact, the stew from that game is relatively historically accurate. In the Middle Ages, inns would oftentimes have something called “Perpetual Stew”. Any time there were extra parts of a meal that would’ve otherwise gone unused, they’d put them in a stew pot and let it simmer and cook together for often days. These perpetual stews would always be different every single day, having a large variety of various grains, vegetables, and meats being put into them.

KCDs stew is called perpetual stew which is exactly what it sounds like, it is made then its kept at a constant safe temperature. It can literally cook for years and still be good to eat. New ingredients are added to it over time so i guess it has an excuse because its probably been cooking for weeks to months before you even come across a pot in game.

The stew in the video from red dead redemption 2 is a New Brunswick style base 2 parts beef stock 1 part tomato sauce Start at 2:00 pm The way I prepare it is to cut 2 ribeyes into chunks, mix them in flour, then sear them in the stew pot, add onions, caramelize them, then add the stock and sauce. Cook on medium high while stirring for a while, then medium low, stir somewhat and it’ll be ready when it’s 6pm I like to put it on top of white rice in a bowl Anyone who will try it, lmk how it is

Kingdom Come food pots are known as "endless pots" as long as someone keeps stoking the fire and keeping the pot hot, the food cooking inside will never spoil, the common courtesy with endless pots is you come along, stoke the fire, toss a few ingredients in the pot, take some stew and leave. In Nagasaki, there is an endless pot that's been going non-stop since 1945.
