Yes and no. Current snapshot for how sticks are made, no. Old school wood sticks that didn’t flex, yes. When it was all stiff wood, that’s how we did snapshots, maybe not as much height in the swing but basically how it was done.

Snapshot is not snapshot in this video. It's half slapshot when you go waist high

Radar position is absolutely wrong. It’s likely measuring stick speed, not the puck. Get behind the net…. And snapshot, not a half clapper. Common guys.

Tried that. We really did.. Reading was totally off. The positioning was recommended by the manufacturer for this type of radar gun and scenario.

@@HockeyTutorialOfficial I have this same radar gun and get a perfect reading behind the net, so does everybody else who has it. I don't know how you used it, but for me I got the best results when pressing the trigger well before the shot and only releasing it a couple seconds after the shot.

I agree, almost all his shots are the same speed, and I can't believe his slapshot are around 70 mph, I'm not playing that level and I topped 87 mph on a police radar gun.

Yeah person with the radar gun should sit behind the net pointing straight out. Tommy should just aim for the radar. Also, all slap shots should with be stationary or moving for consistency. Not skating into some and not into others. That makes a substantial difference in velocity

A snapshot is facing the target, puck in front. Basically a quick release wrist shot. You cannot take a snap shot at a 45° angle to your target

Snap shot…..you gotta snap it. More wrist action and maybe slight toe drag into your body and then push pull with hand, shifting body weight. Really the puck and blade of your stick are alway within an inch throughout the whole execution.

Can you guys do some review/comparisons of the mid-range price sticks?? Or maybe a straight durability test for some of the top brands? Feel and shot is great, but not if the stick cost $300+ and doesn’t last 60days.

Can you guys test out the flagships of the past? For example I was cleaning out my entryway and found an old Vapor xxxx, the white and red Nike-Bauer edition and a Reebok 11k. Wondering how they would line up against even the entry model sticks today.

True that the gun should be behind the net. Lower shots tend to read faster on the gun. I agree with the other commenters. Those aren't snap shots. A snap shot is a modification of the wrist shot involving a snap of the wrist. The puck is never very far from the blade .

Brother you use a p28 you shouldn’t be struggling to know what a snap shot is or do one…..that curve is made for it. Use the toe or don’t use the curve.
