I think one of the overlooked aspects of Chiefs fatigue isn’t so much Taylor Swift and the refs, etc., but the lack of variety. Dynasties in the past still had years in between their titles for other teams to win Superbowls. In the 70s: Oakland, Dallas and Miami still got theirs, it wasn’t the Steelers over and over and over again. In the 80’s: Giants, Redskins, Bears and Raiders all got rings along with the 49ers dynasty. And during the most recent Patriot dynasty we still had the Colts, Steelers, Seahawks, Broncos and Ravens all go to multiple Superbowls and win at least one. In the past, the NFL was still able to maintain variety IN THE MIDST of the current dynasty of the time……until these Chiefs. All of these consecutive trips is what I believe is giving people Chiefs Fatigue.

The worst case scenario, which is also the most likely to occur, is KC vs. Philly with KC winning. Then the Chiefs will have won four Superbowls in the Mahomes era, winning rematches TWICE. So both the Niners and Eagles will have made it to the Superbowl twice with the same core group of players and will have been defeated by the same opponent both times. That suggests those teams were good enough to win it all if not for one super team blocking them. They couldn't win it all because they just happened to have their careers line up with Patrick Mahomes. Now KC losing in the Superbowl would be really fun to watch. I really enjoyed the Superbowls that the Patriots lost but those were intense viewing experiences, and I saw the Pats win a lot of them too which was not fun. Rooting for the Chiefs to lose would give me some real stakes in the game which would make it more enjoyable but I don't know if that's worth the risk of seeing them win yet again. I want to see Buffalo win. That city has never won anything and got screwed by Scott Norwood and Brett Hull. There has never been a sports town more deserving of a championship parade.

For any players from other teams who don't want the Chiefs winning another SB, here's a crazy idea: beat them in the friggen regular season so they dont get the bye and home field. So far this season the Bills are the only team in the league doing their part. If they beat them in the championship game they'll have done twice their share.

To TJs point about something that’s never been done: no team has ever won the SB with a rookie quarterback either. So, as far as history goes, Washington winning the trophy would also be a first.
