This is exactly what happened to my ecu. The illustration is correct. He is referring to the driver. Inputs are normally high impedance so no effect. Do this on driver side and it will fry your ecu.

Will a light always draw its maximum amount if the current supports it? Good video!

If you connect the tester to a battery I can see how you can damage it but what if you connect the tester to a screw or just a random metal. Can you still damage the computer.
@laldogpaul5684 жыл бұрын
The ECU would cut the circuit off before that type of damage was caused. I have seen dead shorts on ECU's and they recover once reconnected,they are much more complex than your simple set up in this video.

I believe it, just demonstrating the concept in its simplest form.

ScannerDanner says the Incandescent bulb won’t fry your electronics but the led might. Which is it?

He never said the LED test light may harm a computer.

@@fastestcaskets5020 why would you even consider using a test light 🤔 wouldn't a multimeter be safe for low current testing with no chance of frying electronics / ECM ?

does he not know all pcm are protected from that unless its an late 80's model car!! does he not think sensors short all the time the inputs are all protected so dont let his test light info deter you
