Which Timing marks to use 1993 OBS Ford 4.9l inline six

Here is a quick video on which is the correct timing mark to use to set the timing on a 1993 Ford F150 4.9l straight six engine.
By default some trucks come with two timing marks. However, only one is correct so the other is wrong. I will quickly show which Timing marks to use.

I used a white paint pen to highlight mark. A remote starter switch is a great tool for getting this lined up..

Well sh!t. 😂 I just checked my timing cause my truck wanted to steal sometimes at a stop. Stupid me didn't see that tiny timing mark that looks like a Crack. I went off the cut out looking part on the balancer. Oops! I'm re timing it tomorrow 😂 thanks for the video

WoW and I been timing it at 0 or 10 degree not at that nock. That's why my truck is missing every time I start it. I hope this works I tried everything. I hope this is the same as a 5.0 engine 1993 ford f-150.

Thanks but i have 2 timing indentations on my 1983 f150 4.9l Two little triangular indentations on the cam on mine. I dont know which one to use!!! There is no little line on mine like yours. At all! TWO triangular indentations. And i cannot tel which one is the right one!!

This dude in 1969 took that 300 I6 and chopped up a couple of 351 Cleveland heads, and welded them all together and put it onto that six, and a couple other things to & @ in 1970 he crushed the world record in drag racing against V8's Broke a whole bunch of track records too.. it's on KZbin too. @@eseogpanchito It is held on by two of the timing cover bolts. You would need to remove the harmonic balancer to get to those two bolts. There's also more than one version of that pointer with some older versions having the numbers but not the notch (1970's), and I think a newer version (1990's?) that's just a pointer without the numbers.
