Those 3,4, and 5 bottom JD, pull types were good plows.

I like the 504. Looks very nice. Never seen a 238 before. The 886 is the older one with the D-360. Later ones had the D-358. I believe the plow is a 700. We have the 770 in 6 bottom which is very similar, but this plow looks different to me. I know, some auctions are so big that you can't begin to put a dent in them. Olson's in Rimbey has nearly 5000 lots this time and about 80 acres covered in stuff.

I owned a 641 and still have the plow, disk, york rake and ganon roll over box blade. Second owner after the man put a loader on it. No power steering and it was a beast to steer. Kept it for 10 years and sold just the tractor for more than I paid for everything. Gave all the attachments to my Dad to go on his 8N.

@matthewtaylor21855 ай бұрын
@bufferbridge my working b-414 is affectionately nicknamed Winston B. McC, b for Bradford. I don't know why I name tractors because if I wanted to sell or trade, and my wife likes the name, I reckon the tractor lives here permanently. "You would sell Winston?!?!" "Oh, no, honey, I was just thinking about getting something a little bigger or with a loader." "Couldn't you put a loader on Winston?" "I guess, but I want power steering, too." "Well, I like Winston" "Me, too."

I never really knew about the 238 and its larger industrial siblings, growing up in Kentucky, the state and counties always used Ford, massey ferguson, and occasionally John deere tractors to mow the road sides.
