Update: I didn't realize Rust labs actually has all of the exact values already. Everything I said seems to line up with it though, but green forest trees are actually slightly better than the snow ones on top of the proximity benefit. I was just about to say that if you're a solo trying to stay low-key, the fallen logs are your best friend since they don't make the big falling noise. But then you addressed that by the tip for lining up a bunch of trees for a one-tap and then GTFO, which I actually had not considered. Good stuff!

Wood Teas are also extremely OP, you don't even need Pure ones to get a lot of wood, the 50% bonus you get from just 2 blue and 2 red berries is nuts.

The fallen logs are great because they don't give away your position like a falling tree does. They also allow you to keep trees in an area for a bit of cover or to hide your starter base...

when the trees start creaking, stop and move onto the next tree. then before you leave finish them all off.

Tamura, the X doesn't make you have more wood, it's just faster to get you more wood. If you hit a tree only in X you would just be faster but same amount of wood as if you didn't hit the X.

Bonus for TC crafting tip: To not craft additional TCs you can append at then about 10 or so keylocks craft, so if you craft accidentally, you only craft locks. This is called "TC stacking padding" You pad the end with some lower end recipes. I saw Willjum do that.

@@lelandshennett You craft TC's when you have wood in your inventory and you need more space. Let's say you're farming wood and don't want to go back to base yet then you can spam craft a bunch of tcs to get more space. then you just cancel the latest TC and craft another to reset the timer. Or you can right click the 2nd tc in the queue to reset the timer. He's saying that when doing this you can also craft key locks ontop of the TC's. So lets say you accidentally dont cancel in time then you wont waste 1000 wood on a TC you dont need. Instead it will just craft a cheap lock. This is just to save on inventory space when doing anything

If you buy wood at outpost in stacks instead of 1 at a time, sometimes it gives stacks of 3k or 5k. It will un glitch when you move it again so wait till you're at base.

Suprised you didnt comment about how the poorer tools actually waste material when your farming with them. Under the stats the red bar shows the amount of destroyed material from each hit, its easier to see hitting nodes such as the stone node, they always yield 1k stone. Use a stone pick and you wont get the full amount.
