Olá Carl & Ladies, As Carolina mentioned 'it depends on the country'. I'd love to hear what she thinks it would be from Canada? Specifically from Ottawa, where we have the embassy and the consulate. We don't have VHS Global as they have in the US. Is that better for us (compared to the US or GB)? ALSO, they refer to working contracts for the D8 Visa, but where does someone like me fall? I am self-employed. I don't have contracts with companies. I'm not 'paid' a salary. My earned income varies depending on the month and who my clients are. I'm a business coach and I design websites and in most cases there is a beginning and an end to the website projects. How does that work for the D8? ONE last thing. I am 61 and eligible for CPP (Canada Pension Plan). My CPP will not quite reach the minimum for the D7, BUT if I were to put money into an investment that pays me monthly, would I then be able to apply for the D7? The D7 was what I hoped to apply for as my income as a self-employed doesn't always reach up to $5,000 CAD a month. Obrigada ~

We are two from New Hampshire, USA who desire a D7 visa for retiring in Portugal by the end of 2024. All this information is extremely helpful and has answered many of our questions. One in particular however ... is it easier to acquire a D7 Visa for the Azores or Mainland Portugal ? Thank You!

Quick Question (For Football purposes) I'm very confused. I thought that with the E-Visa, you did not need to submit your passport and that it was all done online. This would mean you could travel while the Visa gets linked to your passport electronically, as well as having an email you can print showing certification. If you're seeing this and know something, please respond asap. I have to attend Portugal for football-related reasons. I have all documentation provided by clubs. However, to sign in Portugal, I must enter now with a visa. I'm looking to get an E-Visa so I can travel while it's being processed online. In person, I have to submit my passport, which I want to avoid. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. Also, I don't have travel insurance and don't work, so I don't have "enough" money to support myself. However, I do have some money but maybe not the required amount in my bank account. I also don't have travel insurance. This is a huge opportunity for me football-wise, and I don't want to miss it. The club is covering all of my expenses except for travel. It's so frustrating as the new immigration laws have affected football. What do I do in this case?
