Well I switched the machine on and it wouldn't start but had the child lock on.. switched off switched on no change, no way to change the mode, then long press the first two buttons like you said unlocked it for me.. working now, thanks a lot.

Honestly, I have never came across such useless feature like this child lock option from Samsung washers. It does absolutely nothing. My little nephew comes and just touches all the buttons and there you have it. It is off! What a complete and utter bs!

Please 🙏 lemme know when or if you EVER come to bare witness a Child doing the laundry! Not all heroes wear a cape my friend, but for Christmas I can open the lid while it's filling up with water to wash one for you now! The child locking lid is the single most ignorant waste of time setting anyone could EVER come up with. FOR the past 10 years or so, I've had to ask my child to open everything I've come across that comes with this label. Thank you for posting this video and saving my washer from being attacked with a screwdriver until we could come to an agreement that I will ALWAYS need to open the lid while it's filling with water to throw 3 more socks 🧦 In! This was so very helpful. I have a 7.0kg WW70J4 and could not, for the life of me, figure out what was wrong with it: I just found myself unable to switch to "Rinse + Spin"! PS: I had to use the "Temp + Spin" combination as I do not have a Rinse button on my control panel.
