Whimsical Watercolor Greeting Cards

And two years later....look: • Watercolor Doodle Bird...
YES, these are actually made by using REAL Watercolors, not stamp pads or ink....they are so much FUN! I do them on watercolor paper and then stick them on plain white cards.
My inspiration to BLOW the paint came from my good friend Mely D. Artist and her video here:

WELL!! I got playing, it was fun to do this. My husband came over to meand saw what I was doing(he usually doesn't say much or even come see what I'm doing). But he said to me, why don't you stand up and blow straight down on it and it would go out in all directions. I DID! And I loved that out come too. And I did some tiny circles too among the larger ones. 😆 I want to try using some metallic watercolors for sparkle.. THANKS AGAIN...❤

Hey I've got a glass cutting board laying around the house that I haven't used in while! I'm definitely going to devote it to art once I find my watercolors in my storage locker!! 👐🏼 Also wanted to say that some of the birthday cards remind me of hands waving and fireworks!!👋💓 Simple and fun!

I used regular watercolor paper to paint on and then glued the cards to cardstock

First..those are so cute! I learned this technique in eighth grade art class (circa 1964) Second,...you may not have looked hard enough, there are many, many Watercolourist postings on Pinterest. Like the glass cutting board idea!👍🙂
