Horses can be finicky when it comes to breeding but you can make a lot more money from breeding and selling horses than you can with cats in this game. Not to mention if both of the horses skills are all the way up and they’re champion horses the babies will come out with some really good traits already and they can sell for quite a pretty penny.

horse breeding is only worth it if you put effort into horse training and your babies have the Champion Genes trait. that, combined with the reward trait you get for winning the ultimate horse show thing, when your baby with champion genes grows up just train the new horse for one day and sell it and you make some serious bank.

The stallion doesn't need to be in your household, you can make a separate household to befriend and have your mares knocked up by their stallions :)

All you need is a butler, he or she will do everything a gardener, a maid, rancher, a babysitter, a repairer and a food delivery or catering can do. He/she live with you and will always be there for you. He/she can also be your friend when your social needs are low. Beside the payroll, all he need from you is a bed. I love butler, even when I don't have a lot of money, I still would hire them - cause they're just the best.

I think its more worth to raise the babies up and train them before selling bc that way their worth goes up. I recently rescued a horse for 250 bucks, trained it up in 2 disciplines to win the second competition in those categories and then sold it for more than 2500. Takes a little more time than a sim week though.

Considering that its super rare for equines to have twins IRL, i wouldnt be surprised if the devs forwent giving them the ability to actually have twins.

It’s only worth selling them at all if you win competitions with the parents to get the champion horse reward trait and then train the foals up winning competitions with them. If you put the effort in to raise and train your foals they can become worth a lot of money.

They can’t show a horse family tree because when you sell a horse it deletes them from the game I’ve heard. You need MCC to ensure they are adopted by families in the world. 😊

If you take the time to get a foal to temperament level 1 while you aren’t able to breed they will sell for at least 100 simolians more.

I wonder if the fouls would sell for more if Whiny took the time to wean them from the mother's milk and got them used to solid food. Which might increase the foul's temperament, which in turn might make them more valuable.

I ended up having my sims kids ride the horses to build endurance skills. The horses energy lasts longer and the kids gain motor skills super fast.

I would definitely devote time/effort to raising skills and doing competitions if I were going to sell the foals. In fact I probably would raise the foals to adult and win a competition or two with each before selling them, as it drastically increases their value, even if they don't inherit any special traits.

Fair warning, Horses CAN in fact have both twins and triplets. It is by far the most horrific experience with pets I've ever had. Raising, training them all to max skill and price is a nightmare but is worth quite a bit of simoleons. Especially as each generation produces more and more ideal traits if you put in the effort.

I had my horse Brandiwyne (she's been trained some as well) mate with Sienna's horse Flapjack, and she gave birth to Horchata an adorable colt :). So far that is the extent of my experience but I've gotten attached to both of them.

Best way for this challenge is to have all the horses levels maxed (parents) then breed and the foal will be worth way more especially if both or one parent horse has won championships. This is how I do it, a foal with champion blood and skills sells for more then 20,000 pretty profitable (tbh most times I cheat the parent horse skills) their skills take ages otherwise

Really good job in play here girl.. well done.. I was thinking about just making money from a ranch.. you got more then just horses, I am thinking you are making more from the other animals then just the horses.. You would have to do a lot of hands on training if you wanted to increase their value.. but the chickens, and the sheep and or goats and the cow and a few plants.. looks like its an easy way and simple life to make a go of it.. I was thinking of plants and was wondering, why the Sims has never given us an Orange Tree... so we can grow Oranges..

Facts for easy breeding & higher $ for horse babies for anyone who needs help!!! 1. Horses need a good relationship with you And the opposite sex horse to be able to breed at all. 2. All foals start off at $1000 but the more skills parents have for championsips awards the more the price goes up. 3. Just like skills of riding, jumps, barrels and championship awards, you just riding the parent adds to babies value. 4. Grow the horses temperament, it if i remember right passes to the baby or the baby grows theirs faster just by you interacting with them. 5. The better the traits of mom and dad plus how much attention you give the baby the more positive their traits will be. If you do it right they will be born at a higher value of $ but the longer you have them that jumps up alot alot. Mine were getting born between $1,750 to $2,500 without making the parents do any practice with anything to do with contesting. Good luck, I know it's long but I wish anyone told me even 1 of these facts before I realized and learned on my own. I'm sure there's even more involved then I know
