Dora, I do a series, once a month on my channel called "Inspired By" where I highlight another creator and a recipe they've shared and I try to recreate it with links back to the original creator's channel. I already had you down for the month of July with a totally different product but then I had to make bubble frosting today anyway so I decided to highlight you today and try this recipe of yours, in bubble frosting form. The vid is being uploaded today. Thank you for always inspiring our community and for being so generous and giving.

Hi! This is a great recipe!! I have one question. Is the 100 millilitres the correct amount of water? I made the bar soap recipe and added the amount of water suggested and it was only enough to make the soap wet. I couldn’t boil it and had to keep adding water to stop it from clumping up. I used 3oz of the Shea Olay soap. Also, when adding your fragrances, do you find the scent strong when mixed with the fragrances of the soap? - Thanks so much for this tutorial. Any help would be fantastic!!
@Lisa-hq9qt Жыл бұрын
I used regular Olay I think. Did the same ratios suggested. Didn’t work. Can’t remember how much more water I had to add. Second attempt I used a food processor and made a fine powder. Did 2 Oz powdered Olay soap and 3.5 Oz water. This time it came out VERY stringy. I kept beating it by hand until it was almost a big mound of… so added balsam fir fragrance and lip safe green mica (no dye/lake) and kept beating. Was trying to make it into a Xmas tree. About half hour in from piping and the soap must be too heavy as it’s sort of collapsing into itself. Think this would be a home run at area craft fairs, but am at a loss with what needs tweaking. I used less soap because I figured the powder was probably more dense. Hopefully Dora will see this and give us a little more insight. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
@Lisa-hq9qt Жыл бұрын
Update: I used 3 (30mL) scoops finely grated strawberry mint Olay, and 8 (30mL) water. Mixed it together, constantly stirring. After soap was dissolved I stuck it out on the patio for 10mins at 36°. Top looked hard, brought it in. Gave a dash of peppermint oil. 10-15 sec whip and it seems to have worked. Got it 5” tall. It is SO decadent. Even the boyfriend loves it! Thank you Dora!!❤❤❤❤❤
