What lure are you using? Your catch rate is very consistent!

The gold color with blue flakes called Cleopatra from ( Campania Lures ) works best when get lots of sun light. if cloud cover the Opae clear with red flakes works fantastic also

I notice that you are using egg float. Do you prefer egg float or egg sinker? Also, is plastic minnow strip better or grubs for whipping?

Hello, I do use the heavy duty plastic egg floats the ones you put water inside. Also once in awhile i'll use the white wooden floaters as well. The egg sinkers I use depends on where I go and how deep, but recently I've been using the hammer bombs because of it's dual use. I can have the hammer bomb on the surface or underneath. I usually use the strips and grubs with the curly tails. I'll post on my Island face book with pic of some of my favorite grubs I use. Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I just want to know if you think grubs are better than strips. My people from Guam mainly use strips to catch papios but for me, I get better catch with grubs. Also, I mainly use egg sinkers to cast far and sink to the bottom but Guam people mainly use egg float with strips.

Though there's lots of ways to catch, the main thing is you find what works for you and that's all you need. Send some pic of your catch to island hooking face book would love to post them on.
