Miss Lori, I love watching your videos more than anything. I lost my Mama in 2018 and she taught me to love to cook and bake, she made the best coconut cream pie. These fried pies remind me so much of her. I am going to make these for my husband. Thank you for making me think of a wonderful recipe from my Mama. Hello from Oregon. It's funny, I was going to make some of these in the baked version. Actually bought coconut flavoring, and will use coconut milk. For fried pies, I'd like to make a crockpot of salsa verde pork for savory... onions on the bottom. But, I'll have to try some of these sweet ones fried, also. Looks good. Saturday here too, lol.

My granny would make these, but with apples instead because she had 4 big old apple trees. She made the pie dough very thick. I wish I wasn’t so young when she passed so I could have really paid adequate attention to what she told me. I wish I had her recipe!

I made these a couple of weeks ago and shared with a few friends. My friends are asking when I will be making them again! They are truly a wonderful treat, and I can hardly wait to make them again. (I still can't recall why I purchased a 5" cookie cutter years ago, but so very glad I did!)
