My husband and I love soups in the winter. We had soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner tonight. When I make soup, I freeze the leftovers for another night. Makes for a quick, easy dinner with cornbread, biscuits, or a sandwich. The chowder looked delicious!

Mrs Lorie I just love your cooking videos. They remind me of when I was a little boy and spent time with my grandma. Mrs Anna bell Williams amazing women had 14 children seven boys and seven girls.She made me some fresh okara and tomatoes one time and it was as good as a porter house steak. After a rainy day here in Indiana, I made a nice pot of corn chowder and sat down to watch what Miss Lori made while I enjoyed it... and wham, our menus were aligned lol! Yours looked so good with the home prepared cream corn. I did add ham and also some celery, carrots, and some diced green chili. I enjoyed it with some fresh baked multigrain bread and good butter, garlic sweet pickles and swiss cheese chunks. My favorite meal this time of year. Thanks for another great video and had to share my experience!

I got a request for my Chicken and dumplings for supper tomorrow,😋 corn muffins would go with that!!😋😋Do we think about food,too much? Nah,never.😁We had a nice Christmas,not as big as some we've had,counting my blessings though, everyone is well. We were warm had plenty to eat and the company was good. Miss Lori, We love corn chowder and corn muffins. At the end I use can milk in mine to make it creamy. I'm almost 70 and never had corn chowder until I was maybe around 60 and a lady made it for our church lady group and she said try some I said OK and loved it now I make it for my husband cause it's his favorite. Lol So some people make it different but I use her way. But after watching you I might make that recipe too. Thanks for sharing and love watching your videos.
