This joints Killin the game. N not tryna hate at all but gotta be real here, if u know Kenny then u know $150k of that $300k went into labor 😅. I stopped by when I first moved to Florida to see how much he would hit me to drop my LSA crate connect and cruise engine and tranny into my 75 vert that already had the old engine out so basic LS install no parts just labor Kenny told me $9,500 lol. By the time I left that number went up to $13k cuz he said he was gonna have to custom make a radiator support and hoses n couple other minor things. I was in there talking with him for atleast a good hour while he showed me all his builds and we talked a lot of pricing and my God he charges wayyyy too much. Ya he does great quality work but $13k labor for LS swap.?!?!? Man he's getting over on yall folks. One thing he did price me decent on was painting the engine compartment (like I said my engine was already out) he said another $2,500. I was like well shit imma have to hold off on putting the engine in for now and I'll just have u start off painting the engine bay n we can go from there maybe work out some numbers as we go along well he instantly thought about it and was like no I can't do the $2500 right after he gave me that estimate lmao. Upped it to $3500 😅. But ay I give that guy his props cuz he's putting work in and builds some of the nicest donks in the game! Just gotta be a professional athlete to be able to afford it haha

There’s not a good shop in the country under cutting themselves on their work. $10k is minimum start price in Labor at most nice shops for LS Swaps lol. Some ppl want decent, some ppl want more. Gotta know that before getting estimates

If you want to get into the custom car game, you either have to have the $ to spend on it or be able to work on your car. That’s the reality of the car game. Has been that way forever. Especially custom work at this level. Gotta pay to play

@Whips By Wade I agree with you and no good shop should be undercutting their work.. but I'd have to disagree about the $10k start price for just labor on a LS swap at a nice shop. All these shops have an hourly rate and the better shops are just taking their time and paying more attention to detail not necessarily charging more per hour. A reasonable amount of time a LS swap takes doing it the right way is between 40-60 hours. To come up with a $10k starting price would be at like $200+ an hour. Most high end shops are around $120 an hour.. even metal fabrication is usually $160 an hour or less. I just don't see what a shop could be spending 100 hours doing on a LS swap.. 🤔

@@DeezLouize Pulling motor, cleaning up the bay, wire, replace radiator, fans, fuel lines, pumps, tank, dropping in the motor, test, tune, and the rest of the miscellaneous stuff that comes with stuff a modern motor into a old car. Good Guys doing work in their garage or 1 bay shops going to charge $3500-5k labor && you want a shop with 5-10 employees to only book it at $4-6k? As well as want it to be a professional install. I can’t see it. On any coast. Then again , that’s why a lot of these swaps be looking the way they do & ppl think it’s cool because they saved a few dollars.
