HAVE YOU CHANGED THE SETTINGS...IF I HAVE A LOT OF CLOTHES....I HAVE IT ON BULK ITEMS ON ONE SIDE,,,(LEFT) AND THE FAR RIGHT I HAVE IT HEAVY DUTY.....NOW AFTER YOU DO THOSE SETTING....BEFORE IT PRESS & HOLD START GO DOWN TO (TEMP)....MAKE SURE YOU HAVE IT ON HIGH .....TO CHECL THE Temperature.....IF IT IS STILL BLOWING COOL...EITHER YOUR CORD IS WRONG OR THERE IS A DEFECT IN YOUR DRYER.....I KZbinD MY DRYER AFTER I GOT IT.....I AM VERY PLEASED WITH IT.....

Can I please ask a question. I have the very same machine. It will not dry. It turns on 3 sec then. Constantly pauses. Any tips.

Hey Scott - I have this dryer and my question is in relation to the steam setting. Instead of shooting a mist of water (as I would expect), this dryer shoots a jet of water directly at the dryer door and then water starts to leak out of the machine and onto the floor. The only way to prevent this is if I have a load that is large enough (bed sheets for example) to block the jet of water from hitting the front door. Did you notice the same? I am thinking my dryer may need a replacement steam valve assembly.

Hey Scott I have this same unit and when I turn on the dryer it seems to get stuck sensing... It doesnt do anything past that. I entered diagnostic mode and it shows no faults. Any ideas?

I found ifyou use a damp paper towel to clean the dryer vent, makes it much easier

it is not the cleaning that is the problem, it is the design that takes two hands to hold open to clean

There is a check Vent. Clean lint....appearing. we have cleaned the vent both sections. Can we clear off that message?

I have the same problem it is over sensitive, I mostly cured it by running hard pipe to the vent all the way outside

I have the same dryer and just got it a couple of weeks ago. I keep getting that message of "Check Vent" but it's all clear. Is that normal or is there something wrong? Also I've noticed that it will keep drying even if the clothes are dry it won't turn off. Any tips??

It is really fussy about the vent, a little too particular in my opinion. I ended up changing out the flexible plastic vent for a smooth solid flexible metal one that seemed to cure the problem, I will still get a check bent occasionally but not often. I don't have any problem with it continuing to run after the clothes are dry, you can adjust the dryness level

Wrinkle,control,will keep turning the machine off and in until you unload the dryer.

Id give this a 1 out of 5. I cant get through a complete dryer load with out the steam sensor shutting it off. Leaving the clothes damp.

all I can say is that you push the power button the push the start button for 3 seconds, beyond that maybe unplug and re-plug the dryer??? then call the repairman

These have to be the Biggest piece of Crap that Whirlpool ever made what In the Hell was the Engineers thinking they must have the minds of a 3 year old . Stay away from the new Whirlpool Washers and Dryers they are the most ridiculous machines to operate. Whirlpool took something that was very practical and easy to operate and turned it into just garbage. Stay away from these Whirlpool Washers and Dryers trust me we have them Do not buy them run as fast as you can away from them. We have always loved Whirlpool but not anymore.

Same for me I'm thinking vent problems have added up to the thermal fuse issue. Not a professional, just trying to problem solve for my own appliance before we call the repair guy. Has anyone had this issue resolved?
