I'm 70.. 'listened to every version of this song imaginable. This composition over all is perfect. I don't usually care for as much busy-ness from a jazz guitar supporting a vocal, but he pulls it off. Her voice on the other hand, tonally, is just beautiful, and only compares to her perfect sense of phrasing. I am so impressed. Thank you for posting something so beautiful I was fortunate to find. I will now listen to anything I can find that you've recorded ;)

Stardust is said by Jazz singers to be one of the hardest jazz standard to sing. Well here Samara makes it look easy. I keep thinking this over and over but her phrasing and tonal vocals are just sublime. I could melt listening to this classy lady. I appreciate her talent enormously.

Not only is it difficult to sing properly, it has the misfortune to be the piece of music that has been recorded by more performers than any other. Most should give up trying because it is technically beyond their ability. Samara, on the other hand, gives a master class in how it should be done. Out of this world

Her greatest strength is her style. It's nostalgic. She's like listening to one of my parents old records, and mind you I'm 66 years old. I still listen to Sarah Vaughn, Dakota Staton, Dinah Washington, Etta Jones and Nancy Wilson to name a few. Samara has resurrected a beautiful style of singing that has become lost to today's youth. I say all that because I don't think her voice is all that exceptional, but I really, really do enjoy her performance.
