Out of all the music I’ve heard in my life, this is still the most beautiful song I have ever encountered. I can’t explain, it’s so haunting. It embodies the loneliness of the human soul and everything in history. The emotions it conjures up cannot be explained in words. I don’t even think Whirr realizes what they created here. They created something closer to the divine, something otherworldly.

@@hawkmetzeta3599 what exactly did they say?
@hughjasssssssss2 жыл бұрын
I looked into exactly what they said on Twitter back in 2015, and it's /b/ tier levels of offensive shitposting. They tweeted some really fucked up shit, that should not be downplayed and you should not write people off, who have a problem with the band, as being "touchy about transphobia". I'm shocked at how stupid they are for doing something like that. They're an underground shoegaze band. I would go out on a limb and say that most people who listen to shoe gaze, are not people who are tolerant of transphobic behavior. I think this album is the best shoegaze album of the 2010s, and I'll continue to listen to them regardless of the hateful tweets, but they have a permanent stain on their reputation now, and I feel that's a fitting punishment. Why would an underground band do something so polarizing and detrimental to their reputation? Unless they didn't give a shit about the band as of 2015, it's incredibly stupid what they did.
